Wailua Homesteads

Wailua Homesteads is a lovely neighborhood with plenty of puptastic room to walk, run, and play with your pooch. The Wailua Homesteads Park is a small public green space where leashed pets are welcome. Just make sure you have plenty of doggy waste bags on hand to clean up after your pup. The neighborhood is mostly a residential area with plenty of natural greenery to explore during those after dinner walks before sunset. The Hawaii sunsets are always worth waiting for, so be ready to leash up and head out when you notice that the sun is starting to go down!

Kawaihau

Kawaihau

Kawaihau is a large community in Kapaa with plenty of pupperific nature to explore and sniff around with your dog. Kapahi Park is the pawfect place for a morning walk or an afternoon picnic. There is plenty of green grass to roll around on and room to play fetch with some tennis balls or a Frisbee. You will want to bring plenty of doggy waste bags for your pup's messes. Kapaa Stream is also found in Kawaihau and is a lovely place to stop by on your way home for a scenic break from that stress of the day. Just make sure you have a towel in the backseat!

East Kapaa

East Kapaa

East Kapaa is home to Caffe Coco, a pupular coffee shop with beverages and breakfast items that will have your mouth watering and your dog's tail wagging. There is room to sit outside with your dog while you enjoy your morning cup of coffee. After you are properly caffienated, you can head over to Kapaa Town Park, a lovely public park where you can bring your dog on her leash for a whole afternoon of walking and playing to her heart's content. Gore Park is another pawfect green space nearby where you will find lots of sun and shade for your canine companion.

South Kapaa

South Kapaa

South Kapaa has plenty of pup-friendly room to speak of if you are thinking of living in or visiting the area. Java Kai is a lovely pup-friendly cafe where you can enjoy your morning cup of energy with your dog at the outdoor tables. You can also get a pastry or other breakfast items if you are in a hurry to get over to Kapa'a Beach Park. This local beach is an amazing way to spend an afternoon with your dog just running and jumping in the sand and chasing those small waves around! Just make sure you have some dry towels waiting for you on land.

Wailua is a spectacular place to visit and live in if you are looking for a dog-friendly town near Kapaa. Lae Nani Beach is a public beach where you can bring your dog on-leash for plenty of splashing and sniffing after a long week. You will feel instantly recharged as you watch your dog have a blast in those ocean waves. If your dog isn't a huge fan of the water, Poliahu Park has lots of grass that your dog will be tail over ears for. With plenty of shade trees to speak of, this park is the pawfect place to get in some well-deserved rest and relaxation!
