The city of Antioch is a southeastern suburb in the Nashville Metropolitan Area. There are a number of residential developments here where you and Fido can go for a quiet walk together. This dog-friendly area has two community parks and a hiking trail. There are four veterinary clinics in town that you can turn to when you need professional care for your pup.

One pawtastic area to go hiking with your special pal is Mill Creek Park off Culbertson Road. This facility includes open fields and wooded areas with a paved trail that loops around the property and alongside Mill Creek. Dogs are permitted to join you here as long as they're on a leash and you clean up after them.

On the eastern side of Antioch, by J. Percy Priest Lake, you and Fido can explore the Smith Springs Public Use Area. There are trails through the woods and a public boat ramp in this facility. Go hiking or bring a boat and launch out into the water with your pup here.

Another puptacular area to go hiking is the Anderson Road Recreation Area on J Percy Priest Lake. This natural facility has a paved fitness trail that winds through a stand of cedars by the lake. Walk or jog on this pathway, which is over a mile in length. Dogs on a leash are allowed in the area.

This facility has some open spaces and woodland area that you and your four-footed friend can explore. Walk along Mill Creek, or bring a canoe and launch into the water with your special buddy. If you're looking for a pawtastic natural area where your dog can get more exercise with you, head to Ezell Road Park on Ezell Road, about three miles north of here. This facility has athletic fields, open space, and a walking trail. Bring a long tether and let your pooch run in the field. Dogs are allowed to accompany you in the park as long as you keep them on a leash and you clean up their messes.

When you want to treat your furry friend to a special outing, take him to the Pitts Dog Park in William A. Pitts Park on Tusculum Road. This facility has a two-acre fenced section where canines can play off-leash. There are benches and tables in the enclosed area so that you can relax while your pup gets some exercise. No need to bring your own water; there's a drinking fountain in the park. Make sure you clean up your dog's waste.
