The village of Bayville is located on Long Island Sound within the town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, New York. This area is beautiful to visit, with both ocean and forest areas so close, providing beautiful contrast and plenty of opportunity to get out and enjoy some fresh air with your dog. Harrison Williams Woods is a 27-acre nature preserve in Bayville
where you can bring your pup for a nice trail walk together. The woods have been left in their natural state, by request from Mrs Williams who bequethed the land to the town, which provides a welcome greenspace and escape from the surrounding suburbia. You must
keep your pet leashed here, and bring everything you need for your outing,
including water, snacks, bug spray and waste bags.
Bayville itself is an interesting village to explore, with many historical sites and quaint buildings to admire. This place prides itself on being ‘walkable’, with many well-maintained paths throughout, so pop your pooch on a lead and head out for a little exploring. The Bayville Bridge is a drawbridge connecting Bayville to Mill Neck, and is one of the popular attractions in town.
Unfortunately, the beaches in Bayville are resident-only, however if you have a friend who lives in town, you can apply for a guest parking permit.
