If you and your pooch are looking for a fun hike, this neighborhood has just the trail for you. The Sands Point Preserve has cliffs for you and your pooch to hike together. The cliffs offer a stunning view of Long Island. You will need to keep your canine pal on their leash at all times here. This is for everyone’s safety, especially the dogs' since it could be dangerous for them near the cliffs. Dogs aren't allowed on the beach, but they can explore the walking trails with you. The trails are mostly paved and you will need to bring supplies with you, such as water and doggie waste bags. Something to keep in mind is it is usually a $10 fee to park. Put on your walking shoes and see how much of the park you can conquer!

This furrific neighborhood is located 18 miles from Port Washington, New York and is home to a great hiking trail. The Walt Whitman Trail is 4.25 miles long and is a fairly easy trail for you and your pooch to hike. Most of the trail is flat, but there is an incline to make things a little more challenging.
