Glen Head has one dog-friendly restaurant, Jack’s Shack, which serves casual sandwiches and other quick favorites made from organic ingredients. Pull up a seat with your pup at an outdoor table and enjoy your meal! Glen Head doesn’t offer much else for dogs, but Glen Cove is just about 17 miles away from Queens and its several dog-friendly neighborhoods!

The Little Bay Dog Run in Bayside, Queens, is right by the water and has a fully-fenced area for your dog to play off his leash. Or, head a little more inland to the Cunningham Park Dog Run, which has a super clean area for Sparky to meet new friends as he gets some exercise. This spot welcomes leashed dogs to explore the hiking trails with their owners, winding through tree-lined forests and gorgeous scenery. There are also some open, grassy areas that make for an excellent spot to run with your dog or let him meet some new friends.
