Von Marie met Beans, for the first time and it honestly couldn t have gone more perfectly. From the moment she walked in, Von Marie was so warm, calm, and SUPER excited to meet him. Beans can be a little shy at first, but she was patient, gentle, and gave him the time he needed to feel comfortable. Within minutes, he was completely at ease with her. It was so sweet to see. She sent thoughtful updates and adorable photos of their adventure together! We re so grateful to have found Von Marie and will absolutely be booking with her again. Auburndale

Just thirty minutes away from Roslyn Heights is the historic neighborhood of Auburndale in Queens. Known for its size, this neighborhood’s Cunningham Park Dog Run is sure to tire out even the most energetic pups as they run around and make plenty of friends of their own species. Like most dog parks, there are separate sections for large and small dogs. If it’s been raining, be aware that there’s a good chance it’ll be muddy. Make sure to bring water and waste disposal bags; none are provided. There’s also seating for pup parents to relax on.

Sands Point

Under five miles north of Roslyn, you’ll find Sands Points Preserve in Port Washington. Sands Point Preserve is the perfect place for history buffs to go explore with their pooch. Enjoy going for a walk around the grounds of a castle; you can’t go inside, but the view is pretty awe-inspiring on its own. If you want to do more exploring, go for a hike around the cliffs. Make sure to bring along your phone so you can take pictures. You’re also need to bring a leash; your dog must stay on one for the duration of your walk. There are no exceptions to this rule.

Sagamore Hill National Historic Site - Oyster Bay

Sagamore Hill National Historic Site is best known for being the former home of Theodore Roosevelt, and today, you can go explore the site with your canine companion. This landmark is only twenty minutes away from Roslyn Heights, and your pooch will definitely think it’s worth the drive. Fido can explore the grounds with you, and you can also take him for a walk on the nature trail. This trail leads straight to the shoreline, so your pup can splash around in the water. Make sure to bring along his leash, as he’ll need to stay on it, and some waste disposal bags.

Bay Terrace

Ruffly fifteen minutes from Roslyn Heights is Bay Terrace’s Fort Totten Park, where you and your dog can enjoy Little Bay Dog Run together. Bring along a ball or your dog’s favorite toy for a game of fetch or tug-o-war.
