Your pup can stretch his four legs while breathing in the fragrant air of the forests and wetland swamp. A short trail winds through the area leading you past open fields, pine plantations, native plants, and a vernal pool. Benches are scattered throughout the park, so take a seat and soak in the pupperific view. Buehler Ponds are also in the area. Follow the trail around the ponds. You’ll pass through more forest and by glacial rock outcroppings.

Lowell Road
This area is home to both the Dellovo Conservation Area and the Vanderhoof Conservation Area, so leash up your pup and head over for some outdoor fun! Start your adventure by following the main trail at Dellovo. Your dog will love strutting his stuff through a poplar grove and red maple swamp. You’ll also enjoy silver maple, wild rose and ferns. Continue on to Vanderhoof for more red maple groves. From end to end, the trail is about a mile and a half. If your pup still has energy to burn, hop on the Massport Trail and keep walking. By the time you head home, your pooch will be all tuckered out!

Revolutionary Ridge
If your canine buddy is itching to get outside, grab his leash and head over to Clark Conservation Area. A half mile trail outlines a large open field, inhabited by grassland birds. Your pooch will love getting his daily exercise in such a lovely setting. After a couple laps around the trail, take a seat on the bench and let your pup rest his paws. Little Meadow Conservation Area is just across the street where a half mile trail circles another open field. Since you may encounter horseback riders, be sure to keep your dog leashed at all times.

Central Bedford
If you’re looking for a new place to walk your pooch, take her over to the Narrow Gauge Rail Trail. Its southern access point is right next to Paige Field and across the street from Depot Park. The trail heads north for three miles to the Bedford-Billerica town border. Right before you cross Great Road, take a short detour through Veterans Memorial Park. Take a minute to check out the memorials before strolling around the gardens and shade trees. When your pooch is ready, hop back on the Rail Trail and continue north. The trail will eventually lead you past Fawn Lake, a beautiful lakeside park with a trail.
