"Thanks for offering an extended walk! And letting her be silly and roll around and smell things. Sorry I didn’t warn you that she’s a multi-pooper :) "
What do fields, ponds, and Santa Clause have in common? They can all be found at Prospect Park Dog Field! Okay, Santa Clause is a seasonal occurrence, but the fields and pond provide year-round fun! This dog park is admission-free and is open from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. daily. Many dogs and their owners spend their days at Prospect Park, so keep that in mind if your dog doesn’t do well in crowds.
If you’re looking for a shady, well-maintained, off-leash dog park, McCarren Park is the park for you. Even if the sun is beating down with extreme heat, you and your pup won’t have a thing to worry about with McCarren Park’s beautiful, mature trees towering overhead, providing shade that’s not just for the dogs.
Another well-known dog park is Fort Greene Park. Take your fully-vaccinated pooch to run off-leash from sunrise to sunset and make new friends! Always remember to bring water for your pet when planning to stay at the park for an extended period of time, and do your part to keep Fort Greene Park clean by cleaning up after you dog and placing the waste bags in the trash cans around the park.
Brower Park is a pawsome park to take Fido to for some fun on and off-leash activities. Open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Brower Park welcomes your dog to roam throughout the park off-leash, except in the playground. This park does not have any fenced in areas, but there is plenty of grass and sidewalk areas for dogs to wander. The park is popular among locals and their dogs, and sometimes it hosts sporting events. After a fun day in the park, head over to Bedford Cheese Shop for some awesome cheese tasting, sandwiches, or wine. They are 100% dog friendly, and even offer classes so you can know more about cheese!
Foodies will unite in Clinton Hill with their pooches. Since this neighborhood has so many dog-friendly restaurants, you won’t know where to go! Café 232 is a “trendy” Korean restaurant that has a casual and comfortable atmosphere. They serve rice, noodles, and BBQ and are totally cool with your pup joining you at one of their outdoor tables. If you and your pup are craving coffee, then check out The Market, a casual coffee bar that has an Asian influence. Their outdoor tables are dog-friendly and the two of you can browse their menu offering coffee, burritos, soups, and salads. If fresh and delicious seafood is what you and the pup need, then head over to Wallabout Seafood and Co. They offer a wide menu that includes salads, seafood, chicken, lamb, and steak, plus their outdoor seating is pet-friendly.
Hillside Dog Park is a beautiful off-leash fenced in park that your dog will go crazy for. This dog park is huge, which is perfect for running, and offers benches for the owners, water for the dogs, a kiddie pool, and contains separated areas for large and small breeds. Locals love how the park is maintained and say all the dogs they have come across are friendly. If you’re in Brooklyn Heights and want some food with your dog, then head over to Brooklyn Heights Wine Bar and Kitchen. This pawsome eatery has cheese boards, burgers, seafood, and taco, plus they welcome your dog to eat with you on their outdoor patio.
The Brooklyn Bridge Dog Park is the perfect park to take your pup if you’re in Dumbo with the need to run! This dog park is separated by large and small breeds, and the entire park is concrete. The park is directly under the Brooklyn Bridge, so if your pup is sensitive to sound, you may not want to bring him here. The park does offer benches, water, and a hose for your dog to enjoy. On the way home from the park, check out Archway Café, a delicious casual eatery that offers smoothies, salads, and sandwiches. They are cool with your dog joining you for breakfast or lunch, and locals recommend trying the BBQ pulled pork sandwich.
Hi my name is Keila Campos and I am a recent college graduate and a dog lover as well! I am the owner of a beautiful and very intelligent Tibetan terrier named Maggie who is my everything and has been my faithful companion for the past 11 years. Aside from providing good care for my own pouch I also was known in my neighborhood as the resident dog walker and dog lover, so I have had plenty of experience dog walking and babysitting and can assure you that with me your dog is left in the perfect hands. Some of my favorite things to do with my dog friends is playing ball outside, going on nice long walks, and of course practicing some nice tricks that always come with a nice reward (treats)! So you can always count on me when it comes to an exceptional dog walking or babysitting service!
Hi, I'm Brett and I want to give your pooch the same care and attention I give my own! I'm an Australian living in Brooklyn with my wife and gorgeous Catahoula hound mix, Poppy, who we adopted nearly two years ago. When Poppy came to our home she was scared and distrustful after being mistreated as a puppy. With love, training and a lot of patience Poppy blossomed into a disciplined and confident dog, and our little family couldn't be happier. Dogs have always been a big part of my life, from when I grew up in Australia with a border collie, to looking after friend's pets while they're away, to now being a dog owner myself. I promise you to care for your dog like it was my own by giving them the exercise, attention and care they need while you're away!
