This 5-acre park is located on the east side of Heritage Park and features several fenced-in areas for off-leash play, including separate areas for large and small dogs. With plenty of natural shade, hybrid Bermuda turf, seating areas with water fountains, pet waste stations, an agility course and plentiful parking, it’s no wonder this park is a favorite among both pets and their parents. The Hound Mound is open from 7 a.m. to dusk, but it is closed on Wednesdays for maintenance.

While not an actual dog park, Stone Creek Park is one of Flower Mound’s most popular attractions and the perfect place to take your canine companion. This park features plenty of trails where even the most energetic pup can burn off some excess energy. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trails, and clean-up backs are provided throughout the park. The trails are well-maintained, and the park also features gazebos and benches for pet parents and a stream where your dog can take a swim. Scenic views make Stone Creek Park a favorite among locals as well as visitors to the area.

Located at Bob Jones Park, this dog park includes a separate area for small dogs. There are shaded areas and benches as well as water spigots to keep thirsty hounds well-hydrated. Just remember to bring your own bowl! One thing to note is that this park is covered in mulch and gravel rather than grass. If your dog has long hair, he may bring home some of the parks’ ground covering in his coat.
