“Your Singing Wag Walker”

Hi fellow dog lover! I’m Carrie! I can spot a dog a mile away and with hearts in my eyes, I say, “Dog!” I have a cutie sweetie Beagle/Terrier named Dottie. I’ve dog sat for many friends and private clients, volunteered at the Texas Independent Rhodesian Ridgeback Rescue and have partnered with my own dog sitter, taking on a few of her furry clients as well. I can’t wait to meet, sing to and love on your fur baby!

“ALL dogs allowed! Every dog is the best dog ❤”

I have had dogs all my life, I have always loved them. I got involved in rescue over 10 years ago and have been fortunate to help and love many dogs. Being able to care for them and see them transform from the sick, scared, or abused (often all of those) dogs into healthy, loving babies is so rewarding. They are so loving, and deserve the very best we can do for them!

Dog Walking in Bedford

Bedford, Texas is situated right in between Fort Worth and Dallas. This prime location has played an important role in Bedford's growth since the city was first settled in the late 19th century. Throughout the early 1900s, Bedford became known for its dairy industry, thanks to its close proximity to the stockyard in Fort Worth. You can find almost any animal at the stockyard, including horses and cows. Even today, animals are such an important part of the community that you can find ten vets within the city limits.

Thanks to its thriving arts district, modern-day Bedford has earned a spot on Money Magazine's top 25 places to live in the US in 2017. While you're here, you and your dog will definitely want to visit Bedford Trails Linear Park. This is a huge park setting complete with food trucks, swimming pools, and hotels. You'll find several walking paths throughout the grounds. If you have your dog on a leash, then he can join you here for a fun-filled day. The only places that don't allow doggie visitors are the pools and splash pads.

If you would like somewhere more quiet and relaxed to walk, try Brook Hallow Park. This is a series of walking trails that meander through natural areas. You and Fido can enjoy some quiet time exploring the brook and trails, as long as your pal stays on a leash.

Come see what all the dogs in Bedford are barking about!

Everyone loves a good chicken fried steak, and if you come on over to Crazy Cowboy, your dog can enjoy this Texas classic with you! Or, if you're looking for something a little lighter, you could just grab a smoked sausage and cheese platter. There are so many delicious dishes to choose from that you will be glad you treated your dog to a dinner date! Your pup will need to be on a leash while you are here. Bring a water dish for your pooch, and an appetite for yourself, because the portions are big enough to share!

Twisted Root Burger Co. isthe place to take your dog for a custom burger. You could get a classic, like a bacon cheeseburger, but why would you? When you see this restaurant's unique creations, you'll want to try them all! This is the place featured on the popular TV show, Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, so you know it is worth the trip! Bring your dog with you, but be sure to keep him on a leash. These huge burgers come with equally huge sides, so don't fur-get to bring an appetite! A water bowl is also a good idea for your canine companion.

Southlake and Southlake Dog Park are about eight miles from Bedford. This furrific park is definitely worth the short drive! It's the perfect place for your pal to play off-leash. Since this park is pawpular with the locals, Fido will surely make a new friend or two while you are here, and who doesn't need more friends? The park features two sections for small and large dogs. The best part is that the small side isn't smaller than the larger one, so every pup has the same amount of space to play. You'll have access to water and cleaning stations while you are here as well.

Fort Worth is about thirteen miles from Bedford. This neighborhood is where you will find the puntastic Fort Woof Dog Park. This dog park has an obstacle course as well as plenty of room for your pup to run and play.  There's almost always someone throwing sticks and balls for all the dogs here, not just their own! You'll have access to clean, fresh water while you are here, and both the small and large dog sides have trash cans with baggies provided. Be sure to bring a toy or two to share with all the local pups!
