Totem Lake

Jasper's Dog Park, located in this Kirkland neighborhood, is a large, off-leash dog park divided into two wood chip covered enclosures. As it is entirely fenced-in, your pup can have complete unleashed fun hanging out with the neighborhood pack. Smaller and shy pups can play in the small dog section, while larger pups can roam around the North end play area. There is also a small trail system within the off-leash park that supplies ample poop bags and trash cans. Big or small, furry or bald, all canine companions can quench their thirst at the pet-approved water fountain.

Moss Bay

Moss Bay

In the Moss Bay neighborhood, you'll be surrounded by dog-friendly restaurants! At The Flatstick Pub, a waterfront pub famous for its indoor 9-hole mini golf course, is so dog-lov'in, they insist that you bring your furry best for their “Yappy Hour” inside the bar. For Feriton's best burgers, you'll want to visit The Slip where they welcome canines in their outdoor patio. If your Cocker Spaniel is a huge fan of Lady and the Tramp, bring her to Ristorante Paradiso, a dog-friendly Italian restaurant that welcomes leashed dogs at outdoor tables in the summertime. The Cactus Restaurant offers Tex-Mex and Mexican dishes, while Hectors is a local breakfast spot. Both welcomes your dog on their outdoor patios during the summer as well.

Bridle Trails

Bridle Trails

Bridle Trails State Park offers 482-acres, and is known to some as "the wilderness in the city.” Offering a 28-mile hiking and horseback riding trail system, this state park welcomes equestrians, hikers, and leashed dogs. Since the park is used primarily by horses and their riders, owners are asked to keep their pups leashed and under control. Be sure to clean up after your dog here too! Hike the trails, and enjoy the dense, mature tree growth, as well as the small picnic and BBQ area near the horse show arenas.

Waverly Beach Park, a 2.75-acres waterfront park on the shores of Lake Washington, is an oasis with an enclosed swimming beach and boat dock that is truly a hidden gem. The picture perfect place for a stroll, Waverly Beach Park boasts sprawling verdant lawns, a playground, picnic tables, benches, and restrooms. For pups that want to work on their fur line, the "U" shaped sunbathing dock is a heavenly place to relax, unwind, and soak in the sun, so long as dogs stay leashed. Pups can cool off with a dip at the far end of the pier, across from the designated beach area, or lounge in the shade of one of the many stately park trees.
Finn Hill

Finn Hill

For some amazing outdoor adventure, head to the northern end of Kirkland to Saint Edward State Park. This 326 acre park includes 3,000 feet of Lake Washington shoreline. Hike the trails, or set up a picnic in the popular river rock alcove that locals call the Grotto. Along the way, you are sure to run into the history of the area, which includes the brick building that once housed the Pacific Northwest’s first Catholic seminary. Today, the park is enjoyed by hikers, bikers, boaters, and dogs. In the park, your pup needs to remain leashed, and be sure to always clean up after him.
