Riverside Park
Lorraine Park has been a gathering place for families of South St. Paul since the 1930s. This majestic oak tree shaded park provides a sniff-tastic walk under the cool canopy on hot summer days. Bring your lunch and enjoy the picnic tables available throughout the park for a little more time outdoors. The park has something for every family member with the open grassy spaces, a hockey rink, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball, and a large play structure. Lorraine Park is also home to McGuire Field which hosts high school, youth and adult baseball leagues.

Veterans Field originally held temporary housing for WWII veterans. Today, a monument reminds us that the park is “In Memory of all who Served," but is also home to a number of youth football, baseball, and soccer programs. The beautiful green open areas are dog-tastic spaces for a leashed walk or a round of fetch with your pup. The large trees provide shaded picnic areas for a quick rest after your walk or a sniff-tatic place to explore for your pup. The park is active during games, but is often quiet the rest of the time. Elrose Court
On the south end of town, Spruce Park serves its neighborhood with a playground, half-court basketball, and flat open space, perfect for a leashed walk or round of fetch. McMorrow Field is a 20-acre destination park that serves primarily as a softball, youth baseball and youth soccer complex. In addition, McMorrow offers paved trails for a dog-tastic walk around the park. Bring the whole family and enjoy the large playground and athletic activities that are often going on. The nearby Harmon Park is one of the oldest parks in the area, and offers plenty of recreational and sports facilities. There are scores of shade trees and green space, just perfect for some leashed exercise with your pup.

Grandview
Kaposia Park is one of South St. Paul’s oldest and largest parks that was created during the Great Depression. The park's 85 acres remain mostly natural with large mature trees and varying topography, including Simon’s Ravine. You can also find access to the paved Dakota County Regional Trail here. Your pup will wag it like he means it for a chance to explore this sniff-tastic park and trail. The Kaposia Landing Dog Park, inside Kaposia Park, is a large single fenced area having double-gated entries on each end equipped with two shelters for humans to get out of the wind.

Seidl's Lake Park
Seidl's Lake Park straddles the border of two cities, South St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights, and is a cooperative venture between the two cities. Being relatively undeveloped, the natural area welcomes visitors to Seidl’s Lake to enjoy a leisurely leashed walk with their pup through the trees on the paved trail that winds along the eastern side of the lake. Enjoy a swim with your pup in the warm days of summer. Watch for wildlife coming to the lake to drink as your pup sniffs around the beach. Take in the beautiful scenery from the many different angles throughout the park.
