The place sits within Shasta-Trinity National Forest and offers local wares in organic gardens and wineries. It's a friendly and quite touristy area near Trinity River. You will also find a local pet store and a vet clinic right here -- no need to travel anywhere!

Shasta-Trinity National Forest has an extensive and well-developed network of walking trails -- 13 paths of varying lengths and difficulties, to be exact. If your pup plays well with other species, you can share the trails with horseback riders and cyclists. For spectacular mountain views, head to Sisson-Callahan National Recreation Trail and South Fork National Recreation Trail. Make sure you're prepared with good walking shoes, snacks, water, and waste bags.

Burnt Ranch Campground is a camping site with a self-regulatory station located a few miles south of Trinity Village. It’s a pet-friendly area with 16 camping units and several foot trails to explore. Simple but comfortable, the spot offers a terrific retreat in the heart of Shasta-Trinity National Forest! While it's close to town, the campground has everything you may need, including electricity and drinking water. Pooches are welcome and should be on-leash at all times.
