Hi! My name is Allie. I am majoring in child development. I love working with children and animals. I live in an apartment complex that does not allow dogs, so I would like to be able to interact with them in any way possible. If this means helping you out, well, that’s just icing on the pupcake.

I have over 10 years with various animals and would to meet and walk or watch your dogs or check on your pets in your home. A little about me:I am an Air Force veteran who decided to become a pilot after I left the military. Currently I am finishing my bachelors degree (one class left!), adding to my two associates degrees (Culinary Arts and Aviation). Part of the reason I am looking to be a dog walker/sitter, besides just loving animals, is that I recently left a higher paying job in order to join my dream aviation field with the Forest Service. I was lucky to get hired into their Fire & Aviation Department and am on track to be a wild-land firefighter and, eventually, an airplane pilot in fire suppressing aircraft. While I already have my helicopter licenses, I am currently working on my fixed-wing licenses and need extra funds to build hours. Plus, taking pups out on walks will help me stay in shape for fire season. Soooooo, hopefully we can help each other out and my dogs can make friends as a bonus :)

My own fur baby is a mini schnauzer, Abby, who I've had since puppyhood. She does not know she is mini and was determined to be my guard dog, so I learned a lot about dogs while properly socializing her for the dogpark and public walks. I have also done walking and sitting for friends and family. As a fellow pet parent know that each furbaby has their own adorable quirks and every home has its own order. I try to pay attention to the details so that your best friend is well cared for and your home feels just as it always has.

I treat every new dog as a wonderful adventure in getting to know them and their preferences. That also includes the relationship they have with their owners. In other words, I'm all about customized care! I am energetic, thoughtful, and observant. When I'm doing work with dogs, whether pet sitting or walking dogs, it doesn't even feel like a job to me; I'm amazed I'm getting paid to do something so fun! I have a lifetime of experience caring for animals, both domestic and wild, and am very flexible with my schedule to accommodate the dog's needs. My special skills include ability to give medical treatments based on my past work in veterinary clinics and being willing to do silly and messy fun things like charge into a river with them.

As a experienced dog foster for Lucky Day Rescue of Colorado, and as an animal lover, I have experience providing a loving and stable environment for foster dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds. Dog Walking in Arcata

The city of Arcata gets the best of both worlds, as it is backed by thick forests from the east, and the Pacific ocean to the west, and features a large urban downtown. From beachside adventures to deep wooded trails, Arcata has plenty of dog-friendly activities around town, and shows off its constant care for man's best friend with 3 animal hospitals.

Heading to the east, you'll find the Arcata Community Forest, that offers views of the large redwoods from its extensive trail system. Dogs are welcome off-leash while in the park, and can get plenty of exercise from over 5 miles of trails. There are trash bins in the parking lot, but owners must bring water and clean-up bags.

Taking a walk to the east will bring residents to the Mad River Beach, a dog-friendly beach that resides on the coast. The park has many dunes and sandy trails, with 1 mile of shoreline that allows dogs in the water. Dogs must remain on a leash, and can find benches and trash bins throughout the beach. Owners should bring their own water and clean-up bags.

Whether you're looking for a nature excursion, or an in-town park to play in, East Brunswick has everything you and your dog need!

The Humboldt State neighborhood hosts the city's university and a large residential area. Although pretty crowded, the neighborhood still has a large park known as Redwood Park. The area is popular among residents, thanks to its scenic redwood trees, huge open area, and forested trails. The nature paths are dog-friendly to leashed pups, and offer plenty of places to run around, exercise, and socialize with other pups. There are benches and trash bins, but humans must bring water and clean-up bags. Stewart Park is a smaller and more urban park in the neighborhood, with a well-groomed grassy area, paved paths, and children's playground. Dogs are welcome in the park while on a leash, with access to water fountains, clean-up stations, and benches.

Samoa sits right on the shore on the west side of Arcata, with gorgeous views of the blue ocean and sandy beach. Along the shoreline is the Lanphere Dunes Unit, a mixture of wetlands, dunes, and wooded areas. Although single access is denied, guided tours are available along the nature trails throughout the park, and tours allow leashed dogs to accompany their humans. There are no amenities, and owners will have to bring clean-up bags. The Manila Community Park is a more open park that sits along the shore of the Arcata Ba. This park allows dogs on a leash to play in the large open areas of the park, or take a dive into the bay along the access points. There are benches and trash bins at this park.

The Alliance neighborhood is in the northern part of the city, and consists of woods and residential homes. A dog-friendly park here is the Shay Park, a wooded area with the Giant Jolly Creek running through it. The park allows leashed dogs, with dirt trails meandering throughout the park. Owners will have to bring clean-up bags and water. Another park is the Larson Park, which offers the opposite of Shay Park. With large grassy fields, the park is completely open, and allows a lot more leg room for Fido to run around and play. Dogs must remain on a leash inside the park, with access to water fountains and benches.

Though there are trash bins in the parking area, humans must bring water and clean-up bags for this adventure. The Freshwater Farms Reserve is a nature preserve that protects the land around the Freshwater Creek, with a .8-miles walking trail and scenes of the natural wildlife and vegetation. Dogs are welcome while on a leash at the park, and owners must bring water and clean-up bags.

The neighborhood of North Myrtle is in the town of Eureka, only 9 miles from Arcata. This southern neighbor to Arcata is pretty dog-friendly too, with a popular dog park called the Eureka Dog Park. The open area is completely fenced in, with trees surrounding the edge of the park for plenty of shade and privacy.
