Cactus Flats

Grab Fido and head out to the Roper Lake State Park together. This pawsome park offers five miles of trails and natural hot springs that you and your pup can enjoy together. While visiting, your pup needs to stay on a leash and is not allowed on the swimming beach that is at the park. Instead, head to the trails that will take you throughout the desert, but do be sure you have plenty of water on you while you are hiking. If you and Fido want to spend more than an afternoon, grab a cabin or campsite and spend a night or two in the park together.

Aravaipa / Sunset

Check out the Glenn Meadows Park with your furry pal by your side for a pawsome day out. This park features over 2-acres of fun, including playgrounds, swings, a picnic area with BBQs, restrooms for owners, and benches for owners to sit on. There is a basketball court, and grass for fetch too! If Fido is in need of a walk, use the paved walking path that goes throughout and around the park. Make sure to bring bowl for water  since there isn't a ton of shade, and don't forget your clean-up bags.

Central

Thatcher Park is a beautiful park to hang out at with your four legged friend. This park offers plenty of grass for fetch, a playground, numerous covered picnic areas with BBQs, trees for shade, and a pavilion. There is a long walking path that is perfect for you and your pup to get a good walk on together before you head home. Almost everything in this park has shade to help beat the Arizona heat and keep you and your pup cool. Make sure to bring plenty of water with you to the park, and don't forget your clean-up bags.

Thatcher

If you and Fido are in the Thatcher neighborhood and get hungry, stop in to the Main Street Cafe for a bite to eat. This cozy cafe offers favorites like sandwiches and fresh fruit that your pup will be drooling over. Their outdoor patio welcomes your dog to join you as you enjoy your meal. If you and your pup are looking for a place to stay, check out the Garden Inn right near the restaurant. They welcome your furry pal to stay a night or two with you and get a good night's sleep before heading back out for the day.

Fort Grant

Treasure Park East sits in the Arizona desert and is a great place to go exploring with your pup. The park offers hiking, camping, picnicking, and bike riding. Your dog will love hiking through the Coronado National Forest with you, but make sure he stays on leash since he isn't allowed in certain areas of the park. If you want to spend a few night's under the stars, you can grab a camping site. Be aware that the forest is filled with wildlife like bears, so keep everything put away. Don't forget your water while you are hiking.
