Banning-Idyllwild Panoramic Highway

Take your pup out on an awesome hike along the Black Mountain Trail. The trail is 6.6-miles in distance with a 2,470 elevation gain in an out and back route. You will hike throughout the San Bernardino National Forest which is known for their granite bouldes, large pines, and open vistas. While hiking, you can enjoy a stunning view of the national park, but the trail is known to be diffucult, so make sure you and your pup are well equipped for it. Don't forget to bring plenty of water along with you during the hike since there will be none available on the trail.

Morongo Reservation

The Kitching Peak Trail is a dogtastic trail to explore if your pup is itching to go outside. The trail is 8.1-miles in distance with a 2,824 foot elevation gain in an out and back route. You will travel through the San Bernardino National Forest on this hike and get amazing views of the mountains, dropoffs, and the desert. Locals warn that sometimes the trail closes unexpectedly, so call the Rangers ahead just in case. The trail will not provide a lot of shade, so bring water along with you since none is available on the trail.

Fashion Way

Take your pup out to Lions Park for a fun day out in the sun with you. The park features great amenities like a playground, swing set, baseball diamond, grass for fetch, and plenty of shade. There are picnic tables where you and your pup can sit down for a meal, and also a great paved walking path you can use for a walk together. The Banning Stagecoach KOA is a great place to hang out with your pup. It features a dog park where your pup can run around off leash and meet some new friends. The KOA also offers free WIFI and has a few sports courts and a playground.

Sundance West

If your pup needs to stretch his legs, head over to the Richard Sanchez Park for a pawsome day out. The park has some great amenities for you and your dog, including a playground, picnic area, and basketball courts. There is a huge open grass area where Fido can get a game of fetch in, or take advantage of the paved walking path throughout the park and get a good walk while you are visiting. Make sure to bring plenty of water along with you since the park doesn't have a ton of shade, and don't forget your clean-up bags.

Sundance East

Take Fido out to the Noble Dog Park for some off-leash fun and socializing. The park has some dogtastic amenities for your pooch, including separate areas for large and small dogs, picnic tables, and a waste station area. The park is located in Noble Creek Park, so if your pup doesn't want to socialize, you can still hang out at the park together and get a good walk in. Noble Creek Park has plenty of grass for fetch, plus baseball diamonds and benches for owners. Located in Beaumont, and only five miles out of Banning, your dog will love visiting this park with you.
