Belmont Shores

Rosie’s Dog Beach, located in Belmont Shores, is just 14 miles from Cerritos and is a pawpular destination that attracts pooches from all over! This beach has a designated section where dogs are allowed to play off-leash in the soft sand and gentle surf. Your pooch will love splashing in the water and cooling off. You will need to bring something for shade, along with water and doggie waste bags for cleaning up. This beach has free parking and metered parking available, but the free parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Head out early in the day to nab some free parking and avoid the crowds!

Hollywood Hills

Smack dab in the middle of LA's world-famous Hollywood Hills neighborhood, located just 21 miles from Cerritos, you'll find a furrific place to get some exercise. The designated dog park at Runyon Canyon Park covers a whopping 90 acres. Your furry friend could spend all day here and not even explore all of the terrain! For a more relaxed adventure, leash up and hit the walking trails. Even though the park offers water and waste stations along the way, it's always a good idea to bring some extra supplies. Bring a camera, because you'll get a great view of the Hollywood sign from this park!

Goldenwest

Huntington Dog Beach is a pawpular dog beach that's located just 18 miles from Cerritos. Your pooch is welcome to feel the sand and surf in his fur at this off-leash beach! There are usually lots of other dogs to play with here, but there's also plenty of room for one-on-one play if your pup is shy. The water is easily accessible, and the sand is soft -- just mind your pup's paws on hot days. Keep in mind there is not much shade here, so you will want to bring an umbrella, extra water, and some doggie waste bags. Oh, and don't fur-get Fido's favorite toy!
