I have had a house full of animals ever since I was a little boy. I have personally taken care of 5 of my own dogs. This includes the bare essentials of walking, playing, feeding, bathing and maintaining the happiness of my dogs. I have a passion for dogs in particular because they are such a care free species. They will show you how happy they are or they can show you that something is wrong.

Long Beach, California is the seventh-largest city in California and the 36th-largest in the United States. Depending on the location, it has a Mediterranean climate at the same time they are mostly sunny, as is Southern California in general. Plus, it offers a variety of fun activities and places to go for you and your pup.

Most canine companions love frolicking at the beach, especially in a sunny weather, which makes Long Beach perfect. A great local beach that allows dogs is Rosie’s Dog Beach. Rosie's is the place to be for you and you pup to get some vitamin “sea.” It is a 3-acre dog zone and is the only off-leash and unfenced dog beach in the Los Angeles County. While you're enjoying the "three S's" - the sun, sand and sea - your pup can enjoy some time swimming, splashing, digging and fetching. Rosie's also makes a great place to meet and greet with your fellow dog lovers and have your pup socialize with other dogs as well.

Of course, you’re going to be hungry after all those fun activities. You can stop by Gallagher's Pub & Grill for some scrumptious Chicken Fingers and Fries. There is also a bar where they serve a variety of drinks and something on the menu for everyone. You can also sit with your dogs in their enclosed sidewalk tables. Or if you want some fresh air, you can always stay in their fine looking patio. Their waitresses are very friendly, even bringing water for your thirsty tyke.

There is still a lot in store for you and your furry friend in Long Beach such as pet-friendly hotels like Hilton Long Beach & Executive Meeting Center Hotel, dog parks like Recreation Park Dog Park, stores like Runner’s High and more places for all size dogs.
