Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach is also the name of the local beach that runs along the length of the city of Sunset Beach, all the way up to Surfside to the north of town. When taking your pup to the beach, make sure you have a good harness and leash ready to take the heat while you make your way across the sand. Also be mindful of the sand temperature. If it's too hot for your bare feet, it's too hot for your dog's tender paws, so be mindful in order to keep your dog comfortable and happy. Keep waste bags with you to keep the sand clean as well!

Huntington Harbor (Huntington Harbour)

Huntington Harbor is a lovely neighborhood in Huntington Beach located just a few minutes from Sunset Beach. Trinidad Park is one of the local public green spaces where two and four-legged Frisbee players are always welcome. You will also want to check out Conrad Park for its walking paths and a great view of the area if you want a regular place to take your dog for afternoon walks or the occasional weekend picnic adventure. Your dog will need to stay close to you on-leash while exploring Huntington Harbor, so make sure you are paying attention to your dog's stress level, especially during the summer months.

Bolsa Chica Heil

Bolsa Chica Heil is a neighborhood to the east of Sunset Beach, in Huntington Beach. There are a handful of puptastic parks in the area that will have your dog all tail wags and smiles for hours! Haven View Park is one of these pupperific green spaces with grass to roll in, paths to walk along, and views of the landscape that will take your breath away. Wieder Park is another wonderful place to be a pup if you are looking for the pawfect place to put out a blanket and have a picnic with lots of dog-friendly snacks for you and Sparky!

Bridgeport

Bridgeport is a small community to the north of Sunset Beach, in the neighboring town of Seal Beach. This area is home to the Marina Community Park, which offers a unique view of all that the local marina has to offer. You and your dog can admire all of the boats and yachts that are at port in this wonderful little green space while you throw around a ball or two. You can also head over to Zoeter Field for even more room to run and play the day away. Eisenhower Park is just a few minutes' walk away and is the pawfect way to end your tail-waggin' day!

Leisure World

Leisure World is a mix of summer homes and residential homes in Seal Beach, just a few minutes from Sunset Beach. The San Gabriel River to the west provides the scene, while the Edison Park Community Garden provides the smells of local plant life. You can enjoy a stroll through this garden with your dog as long as you keep him on-leash and are careful to keep away from any crops that people may be growing. Bluebell Park is another great place to take your dog on-leash if you want to kick back, relax, and watch your dog do the zig-zag around you in the grass.
