“Professional, Caring, and I take Cute Pet Photos”

Hi my name is Laura. I’m a registered nurse by profession but animals hold a special place in my heart. I started riding horses when I was 5 years old and rode for 10 years, have owned and cared for a wide variety of pets both big and small (currently a bunny mamma to two little lion heads) and I have volunteer experience working in an animal hospital. I'm excited to say that I have been working with Wag! for the past 4 years and cannot wait to meet your pup!

I have had a house full of animals ever since I was a little boy. I have personally taken care of 5 of my own dogs. This includes the bare essentials of walking, playing, feeding, bathing and maintaining the happiness of my dogs. I have a passion for dogs in particular because they are such a care free species. They will show you how happy they are or they can show you that something is wrong.

Dog Walking in Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach is a puptastic waterside community in Huntington Beach, California. It was founded in 1804  and started booming 100 years later when oil was discovered in the area. The ocean is on one side of the town, with the bay and various marinas on the other. Sunset Beach is an amazing place for dog walkers who love to have a constant view of the water in any direction. The city is busier during the summer months, so if you plan on vacationing here, you will want to make sure your dog has excellent leash manners and is prepared to make lots of new friends.

Seabridge Park is on the bay side of Sunset Beach and is a wagtastic destination for pups of all sizes. If you are looking for a place to run and throw around a tennis ball or two, this is the park to check out on a hot day! There is one animal hospital in Sunset Beach and another just a short drive to the east. Since the area is small and quiet most of the year, you will find these two facilities are sufficient to meet the needs of all of the wonderful pups who live in town.

Sunset Beach is also the name of the local beach that runs along the length of the city of Sunset Beach, all the way up to Surfside to the north of town. When taking your pup to the beach, make sure you have a good harness and leash ready to take the heat while you make your way across the sand. Also be mindful of the sand temperature. If it's too hot for your bare feet, it's too hot for your dog's tender paws, so be mindful in order to keep your dog comfortable and happy. Keep waste bags with you to keep the sand clean as well!

Your dog will need to stay close to you on-leash while exploring Huntington Harbor, so make sure you are paying attention to your dog's stress level, especially during the summer months.
