You can also sit down for a meal at a few restaurants in North Redondo that welcome furry friends, like Giuliano’s, an Italian deli with yummy sub sandwiches, salads, and more. About 9.5 miles from Carson is the Beach Drive area of Redondo Beach. Beach Drive stretches along the coast of Redondo Beach, giving you and your pooch some beautiful views of the sandy beaches and water. Although most beaches don’t allow dogs, there are some bike and walking paths that run along the beach in this area where leashed pups are allowed. Head just slightly north from Redondo Beach and you’ll come to Central Hermosa Beach Sand in Hermosa Beach, which is just under ten miles from Carson. This neighborhood offers plenty of pawtastic restaurants that welcome dogs, but first, work up an appetite exploring the Veterans Parkway. This 3.5-mile trail stretches from Redondo Beach to Manhattan Beach and is the perfect spot for a hike with your pooch. Then, choose from tons of restaurants with outdoor seating for dogs and their humans, like Java Man, a cozy coffeehouse that even has treats waiting for your dog. Or, try Palmilla, a Mexican restaurant with an outdoor patio near the water.
The Tree Section neighborhood of Manhattan Beach is slightly over nine miles from Carson. This neighborhood is just moments away from the beach itself and has its own dog park, known as the Polliwog Dog Run. The small, but cozy, park is a part of Polliwog Park, a huge public area that allows leashed pups to explore with responsible owners who clean up after them. Need a break for some grub?
