Dog Areas in Westmont, CA

Westmont, California is a census-designated place about 11 miles outside of Los Angeles. With Westmont being so close to the City of Angels, many people see the town as a bedroom community. There isn’t much in the area in terms of commercial development; most of Westmont is residential and comprised of single-family homes. The town also has several schooling options, including charter schools.

A lack of commercial development does mean you’ll need to venture away from Westmont if you’re looking for some dog-friendly fun. Westmont has no dog-friendly eateries and no dog parks. Veterinarian clinics are also absent from the town. Don’t fret too much, though. With Los Angeles and Inglewood being so close by, you’re not too far away from any of these amenities. There are vets located in both cities, includes emergency clinics for care around the clock. Both cities also have different dog parks to choose from, so you won’t have to worry about your dog getting some off-leash exercise every now and then.

With larger cities just a hop, skip, and jump – or a short drive – up the road, residents of Westmont can enjoy all the amenities while still living outside city limits. And that’s something that no dog would bark at!
