Torrance is the eighth largest city (by population) in the South Bay region of the Los Angeles County. It contends globally through its countless assets - diverse citizens, blossoming and booming business scene, and tight-knit and safe neighborhoods. Torrance was established in 1912, Torrance has continued to live out its creed as a well balanced, community-driven city.

An enormous park is located at 2200 Crenshaw Boulevard. Wilson Park has a roller hockey rink, baseball and soccer fields, basketball and volleyball courts, picnic and barbecue section, a kids’ train ride and a tree house. There’s also a trail loop for running, biking or simply walking your dog. There are numerous activities that you can do in the park, including one for your dog.

Restaurant owner, Chris, saw a lazy dog lying by the toasty fireplace in one of his vacations in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This became the inspiration of the Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar. The restaurant depicts the cozy and warm atmosphere where dogs are welcome outdoors in their patio area. And above that, they have doggie menu with choices of grilled hamburger patty and rice, grilled chicken breast and rice or plain brown rice plus a complimentary bowl of water. The Lazy Dog offers the impeccable dining for all ages and dog ages too. Bone Appetit!

Torrance, California is one of the few areas of the United States where an individual can go to the beach in the morning, and skiing or snowboarding in nearby mountains in the afternoon. One of the best places to take your dog in central Torrance is Wilson Park. This dog-friendly park has a gym, batting cages, tennis courts, playgrounds, hockey rinks and even a tree house! And that is all just for you! For your loyal companion, they have a duck pond and a dog agility training obstacle course. The park is constantly full of people making it a great place for you and your dog to socialize!

    There is no shortage of beautiful parks in the northern part of Torrance. However, one park takes the cake: Columbia Park. This park has a gigantic grass field with various sports fields. It also has large playground where you will often see children playing. In addition, many people walk their dogs here in the evenings. So if you and your pooch want to make some friends, that's the time to go! Lastly, since this is not an off-leash park, make sure you take a leash in case there are others in the park. Trust us, you will have a pawtastic time here!

    Who doesn’t love a huge grassy field? Located in South Torrance is De Portola Park. This park as just about everything you can ask for in a park. It is surrounded by a vibrant neighborhood, rich in culture. When you’re not walking your dog on a street sidewalk, consider going to the park. It is a clean, private park with plenty of shade and things to do. However, since it not only a dog park, keep your leash handy and you are guaranteed to have a pawsome time! Also, the park has plenty of amenities including restrooms, plenty of parking and water fountains.

    Every once in awhile it is good to have a change of scenery. If you feel like it's time to get out of Torrance for a while, head to San Pedro. The city is only 10 miles away, but it is home to one of the best dog parks in the area, Knoll Hill Dog Park. This park is an off-leash dog park full of dogs and their owners at all times. It is pretty large so it is separated by dog size. Unlike other parks, it does not have grassy fields. Instead it has wood chips and dirt so you may not want to wear your Sunday best when visiting.

The park is split into areas for big and small dogs. At some points it is extremely grassy whereas other parts are covered in grass and dirt.
