There is no shortage of beautiful parks in the northern part of Torrance. However, one park takes the cake: Columbia Park. This park has a gigantic grass field with various sports fields. Who doesn’t love a huge grassy field? Located in South Torrance is De Portola Park. This park as just about everything you can ask for in a park. It is surrounded by a vibrant neighborhood, rich in culture. When you’re not walking your dog on a street sidewalk, consider going to the park. It is a clean, private park with plenty of shade and things to do. However, since it not only a dog park, keep your leash handy and you are guaranteed to have a pawsome time! Every once in awhile it is good to have a change of scenery. If you feel like it's time to get out of Torrance for a while, head to San Pedro. The city is only 10 miles away, but it is home to one of the best dog parks in the area, Knoll Hill Dog Park. This park is an off-leash dog park full of dogs and their owners at all times. It is pretty large so it is separated by dog size. Unlike other parks, it does not have grassy fields. Instead it has wood chips and dirt so you may not want to wear your Sunday best when visiting.
