I have had a house full of animals ever since I was a little boy. I have personally taken care of 5 of my own dogs. This includes the bare essentials of walking, playing, feeding, bathing and maintaining the happiness of my dogs. I have a passion for dogs in particular because they are such a care free species. They will show you how happy they are or they can show you that something is wrong.

Hi, my name is Carole. I’m from Michigan but love living in California so I can be outside with dogs all year. I have 8 years professional experience in pet care but I have had cats and dogs my whole life. As an animal lover and a dog & cat owner, I know how hard it is to find someone I trust to care for my pets so, after years in the corporate world, I decided to turn my love for animals into my business and help other pet owners. I love giving belly rubs and lots of pets. I’ve walked all breeds of dogs, all sizes from Great Dane to Chihuahua and all ages from a 16-year old lab to a puppy. I also have lots of experience caring for pets with special needs. I have given subcutaneous fluids, I’ve used a feeding tube, I’ve cared for several pets after surgery, I walked a dog whose back legs were paralyzed and I’ve been dealing with my own dog’s hip dysplasia and arthritis for several years. You can rest assured I will treat your pet with the same love I give to my own.

My best friend growing up was a terrier named Sacanni. When there is a stray dog around I'm often the one called to round them up. I'm lucky to live with a dog and even a cat that thinks he is one (comes when called).

Dog Walking in Lomita

The city of Lomita, California has a Spanish heritage. The word Lomita means “little knoll” in Spanish. This city was also part of Rancho San Pedro, which was part of the Spanish Empire in the late 1700’s. If you're a history buff, you'll love learning more about the city's historical significance while you're here.

If you and your pooch are looking for a great place to dine together, you can grab a bite to eat at the family-owned Lomita’s Best restaurant. It is located right on Lomita Boulevard and is a dog-friendly establishment. It's open everyday, but only serves breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday. On the weekends, the restaurant is only open from 7am to noon, allowing you to enjoy breakfast or brunch. They welcome your pooch to dine with you as long as they are on a leash. The staff is very friendly and will make both you and your pooch feel very welcome.

In Lomita, there are not a lot of other amenities for dogs, but you can find more activities just a short drive outside of the city. There are other restaurants, parks and beaches for you and your furry friend to check out just a few minutes away!

Did someone say beach trip? Just 8 miles away, you'll find Rosie’s Dog Beach, where your dog can play in the sand and sun and cool off in the water. There is free parking but it is minimal; you may have to pay for metered parking while you're here. The water is easy for your pup to get in, and the soft sand will feel good under his paws. This beach has two different sections: one where your canine pal can run freely off-leash, and one where they must stay on their leash. You will need to keep in mind that you will be in the sun all day, so packing the essentials is very important. You will want to bring plenty of water, doggy waste bags for clean-up and an umbrella for shade since you will be directly in the sun.
