Your dog will need to stay on a leash and be on his best behavior, as there will be other dogs staying there enjoying their summers as well! You will also need to keep plenty of doggy waste bags in your pocket while walking.

Central Discovery Bay

Central Discovery Bay is full of natural beauty that is just waiting to be explored by you and your canine companion. You can start your day at the Indian Slough River. There are plenty of access points from the main road where you can park and walk to the water with your excited pup in tow. Marina Bay is a great place for you and your dog to spend the afternoon walking and getting in those steps. If you are looking to spend some serious time outside, you can also make your way over to Cabrillo Bay and Willow Lake for plenty of fun in the sun.

Sand Creek

Just fifteen minutes from Discovery Bay, it is well worth the drive if you are looking for some good-sized parks to take your dog for a game of fetch or a picnic. Blue Goose Park is just a skip and a hop away and is a great place to meet new friends and spend some quality time with your loyal companion. Just keep waste bags nearby!

Edgewood

Fifteen minutes away from Discovery Bay is the neighborhood of Edgewood. This pupperific neighborhood has plenty of dog-friendly real estate and rental properties available to meet the needs of any family. You can take your dog over to Summerwood Park if you want to spend some time outside relaxing or getting some exercise with your dog. Sparky will be ecstatic to see the leash come out after getting a sniff of this park and the other local green spaces.
