West Fawnskin
West Fawnskin is home to the town’s Fawnskin Market. The San Bernardino Fire Station is also on this side of town and makes a great stop for sight-seeing on a morning or afternoon walk. The Bear Climbing Company is a rock climbing club with outdoor facilities where your dog can watch you scale the rocks or take a hike with you. Grout Creek is a wonderful outdoor water spot if you don’t want to go all the way to the lake for a splash with your pup. North Shore Drive will take you where you need to go in this town, so grab your backpack, climbing gear, and dog harness and head on over!

East Fawnskin
East Fawnskin makes up the other half of this wonderful community. It is home to Miller Park, an open recreational park where you can enjoy some leash time with your dogs. Full of beautiful residential streets, the eastern part of town is an amazingly colorful scene where you can take your dog for a walk and enjoy all of the flowers, birds and squirrels that the neighborhood residents are so proud of. If you are looking for a great spot to spend the day, head down to Big Bear Lake and enjoy some time on the shore. Don’t forget your waste bags and towels for this adventure.

North Shore is the more rural and open part of Fawnskin. Inhabited throughout the year by campers and travelers, the North Shore Recreation Area is a popular destination for dog lovers who can’t stand the thought of leaving Rover home alone for the weekend. You will want to bring plenty of waste bags and toys for this sniff-tastic outing! North Shore is open and full of plenty of lush grass and trees to explore on your way down to the most popular spot on Big Bear Lake. You will want your towels for the trip down to the lake, and prepare for a splash-and-sniff adventure!

Big Bear
Big Bear is the central part of Big Bear Lake’s southern neighborhoods, just a 15-minute drive around the lake from Fawnskin. This part of town is home to the best access to Big Bear Lake’s banks. These banks are dog-friendly and ready for visitors to spend the day or the weekend. Bring your tent and plenty of towels, and get ready to get wet! Your dog will be elated to smell the water and other dogs around him during your stay at Big Bear Lake. There are plenty of dog-friendly restaurants in this part of town, from the Teddy Bear Restaurant to Nottingham’s Tavern, all with outdoor seating and prime views of the lake.

Moonridge
Moonridge is a small community just outside of Big Bear Lake, about twenty minutes from Fawnskin. Moonridge is a popular resort location for many travelers and is full of dog-friendly hotels surrounded by plenty of open green spaces and trails to walk together. Bring a good leash and your walking shoes to this town, as your pup will want to drag you everywhere and show you all of the things to be sniffed! As long as you are fully stocked on waste bags and water, you are ready for a fur-filled day of fun and laughs as you make your way through Moonridge!
