Big Bear is the central part of Big Bear Lake’s southern neighborhoods, just a 15-minute drive around the lake from Fawnskin. This part of town is home to the best access to Big Bear Lake’s banks. These banks are dog-friendly and ready for visitors to spend the day or the weekend. Bring your tent and plenty of towels, and get ready to get wet! Your dog will be elated to smell the water and other dogs around him during your stay at Big Bear Lake. Moonridge is a small community just outside of Big Bear Lake, about twenty minutes from Fawnskin. Moonridge is a popular resort location for many travelers and is full of dog-friendly hotels surrounded by plenty of open green spaces and trails to walk together. Bring a good leash and your walking shoes to this town, as your pup will want to drag you everywhere and show you all of the things to be sniffed!
