Westridge is a residential neighborhood located in northern Portola Valley. You and your pooch can walk along the roads past sprawling private estates in this area. If you're looking for a nice place to take a hike or jog with your fur baby, check out the Westridge Trail. This multi-use pathway follows Westridge Drive from Portola Road to Alpine Road. Your four-footed pal can join you here as long as you keep him under control and on a leash. Remember to yield to horses and other pedestrians by moving to the side of the path. Bring along water and waste bags for your outing.

Central Portola Valley

Central Portola Valley

Central Portola Valley is a residential area with single-family homes. This neighborhood has tree-lined streets where you and Fido can take a little stroll together. There's are some furrific multi-use pathways around here. To get some fresh air and exercise, take your special pal to the Alpine Trail. This mixed-use paved pathway is frequented by pedestrians, horses, and cyclists. You can bring dogs as long as they're on a leash. Follow trail etiquette and yield to equestrians and bicycles. Bring waste bags with you so that you can clean up after your pooch and keep the trail tidy for everyone.

Portola Valley Ranch

Portola Valley Ranch, located in the southern part of town, is a wooded residential area. You'll find a few pathways here where you and your canine companion can get some exercise. One pawtastic trail you can use for a hike or jog is the Valley Oak Trail. This natural surface pathway follows Valley Oak Street through the neighborhood. Bikers, equestrians, and pedestrians share the trail, so be respectful. Keep your pup on a leash and under control at all times. Make sure to bring plenty of water and waste bags with you when you come here.

Portola Valley

Portola Valley includes the town center, some residential streets, and a few small businesses. This area has quiet roads that you and your canine pal can use for a daily walk. There's a nice walking path off Hayfields Road here. Walk through the woods and open spaces with your furry pal on Larry Lane Trail. You can bring dogs to enjoy the trail as long as they stay leashed and you clean up after them. This country path is shared with equestrians, so be mindful of that, especially if your dog doesn't play well with other species. Bring waste bags to clean up after your dog.
Ladera

Ladera

The neighborhood of Ladera is a populous area in the northeast section of Portola Valley. You'll be able to walk around the block with your fur baby in this community. To treat your pooch to an outdoor adventure, head to the Pearson-Arastradero Preserve. This open space has over ten miles of trails that wind through savannah grassland and evergreen forest. Go exploring with your four-footed friend here. Dogs are welcome to accompany you in the preserve as long as you keep them on a leash and under control at all times. Bring water and waste bags so that you can clean up any droppings.
