I became an official dog owner at a young age when I was given a husky for my 13th birthday. Ever since, I have had many experiences caring for all kinds of dogs. The history of breeds I have cared for range from small dogs such as terriers and chihuahuas to large dogs including pit bulls and bulldogs. My volunteer experience includes working at the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation (LBWF). During my time at this animal shelter, I cleaned, walked, and fed many dogs who were rescued.

I realized I loved dogs when my sister placed my dog, Maui on my lap nine years ago. I've met so many dogs and dog owners because of her and hope to meet and take care of many more. I've walked dogs for my neighbors and friends. I'm punctual, professional and understand from being a dog owner myself, the safety and well-being of your dog.

Hi My name is Patrick, I grew up in the Bay Area and I have been a dog lover my whole life. Growing up I had many dogs, Big and Small. To me playing with dogs never gets old. Running around the yard with them, belly rubs, tug of wars I love to do it all. I've always had a connection with dogs and my mom likes to call me the Dog Whisperer since dogs tend to calm down and behave more often in my presence. I like to get outside and enjoy the daytime and I'd love to bring your pup companion with me while your away.

Dog Walking in Belmont

Belmont is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, but was originally a part of the Rancho de las Pulgas, which was a 35,240-acre Spanish land grant in 1795.  If you find yourself in Belmont along with your furry best friend, you can visit two restaurants that are dog-friendly here. The first one is Whispers Cafe & Creperie, and the second one is Sumac Mediterranean Grill. Both offer dog-friendly patios where you can enjoy your food along with your pup.

If you're in need of a veterinarian, you'll have a couple of different options here. While you're visiting Belmont, you should explore the dog-friendly trail called Crystal Springs Cross Country Course. You can go running there with your four-legged baby, who has to be on-leash at all times. Another nice place to visit here is Laurelwood Park, which is a beautiful park in the middle of a residential district. The coolest thing about this park is the mountain in the center! You can spot some wildlife here, too. Another park that you can visit in Belmont where your dog is allowed is the Twin Pines Park. Your dog must be leashed here too, but the park provides water and waste bags for your pupper.

This local dog park is the only one in the Belle Monte neighborhood, and it's frequented by a lot of visitors. The park is called Cipriani Dog Park Belmont and it's an off-leash park. The park includes areas for small and large dogs and provides plenty of shade for your dog's comfort and your convenience. It's fully enclosed and has benches for dog owners to watch over their fur babies. Moreover, there's water available at the park as well as night lighting. The park is located next to a school so you'll find plenty of parking nearby. Other amenities include waste cans, poop shovels, tennis balls and frisbees. What's not to like?

Water Dog Lake Park is a trail that it's easy at the start, but becomes narrow as you go further. Because of the thick vegetation around, there are lots of ticks along this trail, so make sure that your pooch is properly protected before visiting. Although the trail allows only dogs on leash, you'll find a dog-friendly lake at the end of the trail where your pup is allowed to swim off-leash. It's not a long trail, around 2 miles, making it a fairly easy hike. You should definitely bring lots of water for your four-legged buddy and waste bags as well. Make sure you know the map of the trail as well because it is very easy to get lost!

Presidio

Around 27 miles north of Belmont is a wonderful dog beach called Baker Beach in the Presidio neighborhood of San Francisco. The beach is simply pawesome and offers something for everybody; it's dog-friendly, nude-friendly, and family-friendly! Dogs are allowed off-leash north of Lobos Creek, but they must be on-leash south of Lobos Creek. There is free parking and restrooms for the human visitors. You need to bring your own waste bags and be sure to clean up after your pal. You'll also need to bring water, as none is provided here. The view is also a big plus: you can take amazing pictures with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background!

Half Moon Bay

Around 13 miles west of Belmont is another beach called Poplar Beach, which is located in a small city called Half Moon Bay. Officially, the beach allows dogs only on-leash, but lots of people let their dogs run free. Nearby parking will set you back $2 per hour. There is no water available, so you have to bring your own. There also aren't any restrooms for humans, just a few port-a-potties. The trail next to the beach gets a little bit steep; you need to get down a ridge to get to the beach, so be careful! You'll also find Half Moon Bay Dog Park in the area, which is a small, off-leash fenced park.

Located approximately 26 miles away from Belmont is the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. This park is simply pawesome! It includes four separate off-leash areas for dogs. There are lots of tennis ball around for your dog's amusement, as well as other toys. The park is very spacious, and you can find the fenced area at  Fulton & 38th. In some areas of the park, there might be some low poison oak, so you should be careful. You have to bring your own poop bags and clean up after your fur baby. You should always be aware of the area you're in; your pup will need to wear a leash in some areas of this park.
