What's better than a sunny day at the beach with your pup by your side? If you want to make some new memories, you should visit the Baker Beach located in Presidio, San Francisco. The beach is around 18 miles away from Millbrae, and it's pretty easy to find. The beach is located just 1 mile from the Golden Gate Bridge, which makes the view mesmerizing. Dogs can be off-leash north of Lobos. In the vicinity of the beach, there is a free parking and restrooms too. At the end of the beach, you'll find a section dedicated to nudists. Make sure to bring poop bags and water for your pooch. You can also visit Crissy Field nearby, which welcomes leashed dogs.

Another great beach that you can visit with your pup is Poplar Beach, which is located in the small city of Half Moon Bay. This beach is around 16 miles away from Millbrae. Although dogs are officially only allowed on-leash here, many dog owners let their dogs run and swim off-leash. Do bring water, poop bags and some toys to make some wonderful memories for your pooch! One of the most dog-friendly dog parks in the area is the Golden Gate Park located in Outer Sunset, San Francisco. The park is approximately 16 miles away from Millbrae and has four different off-leash areas. The park is enriched with lots of tennis balls and other toys, making it a doggie heaven! The one fenced area is at Fulton & 38th. Make sure you are mindful of the low poison oak that can be found in the park. Bring your own waste bags to clean up after your pooch. In some of the areas of the park, your dog has to be on-leash, so be sure to follow the leash policy when visiting.

Lake Merced Park

One of the best places to bring your dog to in San Francisco is the Fort Funston Park located in Lake Merced Park. This park can be found around 13 miles away from Millbrae and has plenty of space where your dog is allowed to run off-leash. If your pup is well-behaved and follows voice commands, this is the place for you! The park is not fenced, but is pawpular with the locals, so you'll find plenty of canine friends to play with here. The park offers several trails where you can walk on-leash, and several beach areas as well. There are water bowls with water in multiple places too, so you and Fido have everything you need for the pawfect day out!
Sea Cliff

Around 18 miles away from Millbrae is a furrific place your canine companion will love called Lands End Beach Off Leash Dog Area. This area is located in the Sea Cliff neighborhood of San Francisco. The area is not fenced, so only let your dog off-leash if he can follow voice commands. There are signs throughout the area that indicate where the dog must be on-leash. You have to clean up after your dog, and you'll need to bring some water with you as well. This beach is very popular with locals and residents alike, so there are many dogs there. Make sure your dog plays well with other dogs if you're planning to visit!
