The Distillery offers a heated patio for you and your pup to eat your meal on, plus they have a dog menu with food like mini burger patties, bacon slices, or a bowl of kibble that your pup can enjoy. They also offer a great menu for dog parents, including salads, sandwiches, and seafood dishes. The patio will give you and your pup a beautiful setting while you both chow down, and you may even see the sunset. Located in Moss Beach and only a mile out of Montara, this spot will be Fido's favorite to visit.

Princeton

Take Fido out to Pillar Point Harbor for a great afternoon out swimming and getting a good walk in. The Harbor is a popular spot for dog owners since it allows Fido to be off leash in a safe area where he can swim and meet other dogs. Let Fido play a good game of fetch on the beach before heading out to your next adventure. Grab a bite to eat at Seville Tapas with your furry pal by your side. They dish out delicious food with a Spanish flare, and their outdoor deck is heated. The Half Moon Bay Brewing Company offers a great brewery experience with outdoor fire pits where you can sit and enjoy a tasty beer with your pup by your side. All of these great activities are located in Half Moon Bay, only seven miles out of Montara.

El Granada

El Granada is a great area to take your pup to if you both want to get your foodie on together. Stop into El Granada Hardware Cafe for a great meal. Their menu includes "everything but the kitchen sink" and your dog will be dying to get a taste. Three Zero Cafe dishes out a great breakfast that you both can enjoy if you are up early and looking for something to satisfy you before heading to the beach. Sam's Chowder House dishes out delicious seafood that is perfect to enjoy on their outdoor patio with your pup. All of these restaurants have dog friendly patios and are only four miles out of Montara.

McNee Ranch

Take your pup out to the McNee Ranch State Park for some awesome views and great hiking trails the two of you can enjoy. The park is in the Montara Mountains and offers you a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean and San Mateo County coast. There is an 8-mile trail that you and Fido can journey along with an elevation of 1,898-feet to really make it a good workout. There are shorter trails throughout the park as well that you and your pup can journey along if you are just looking for a light walk instead of an intense hike.

Your dog needs to remain on leash as you walk on this beach, but you both will get great ocean views and meet a lot of new friends while you explore together. Their menu includes brunch and small plates that you can share, and their outdoor patio welcomes your pup. Only five miles out of Montara in Pacifica, your dog will love hanging out at the beach with you.
