My name is Isaak, and I am long-time animal lover!I am originally from northern California, and I currently live in Queens, NYC. I have owned and lived with dogs my entire life; in fact, at the age of eleven, my love of animals led me to the decision to become a fully committed vegetarian. Although I don't currently reside with a dog, my apartment is dog-friendly, and has hosted numerous doggy friends. Breed-wise, my experience with dogs includes: Labs, Dachshunds, Bulldogs, Retrievers, Pointers, Pulis, Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Great Pyrenees--and I am looking forward to meeting more!! :)

I just want to walk all the dogs! Since I was young I have loved animals but as an adult I have a special affinity for dogs. I love them all! I have experience working at a veterinary office. I also have two dogs if my own. We walk along a local walking/bike path and, even when my dogs aren’t there, I love to stop and talk with all the dogs. I’ve never met a dog I didn’t love or a dog that didn’t love me. I would love the opportunity to meet your dog and spend some time with them.

Hello! My name is Amy. I have been walking dogs for Wag! since April of 2018. I have experience with all breeds, from chihuahuas to large pit bulls. I have been raising and interacting with dogs my entire life. I have been a volunteer with the Stockton Animal Shelter for several years, including fostering dogs. I feel I approach relationships with dogs deep care. I am I truly believe dogs require exercise to feel balanced and have a an outlet for their energy and the ability to explore. I have helped many dogs overcome difficult walking habits like pulling through exploration of harnesses and gentle leaders. Being with dogs, walking and serving people make me happy. I would love to meet your dog and you! I am available for one time gigs and ongoing walking appointments, pet sitting and boarding.

Hey, my name is Kurtis! I recently moved to New York City from Northern California. Growing up, there were always a variety of dogs in my life. My most recent furry friends were my Dad's dog Kalasso, a 2-year-old pit bull, and Nina, my 17-year-old Chihuahua, who was recently called to Doggy Heaven. I've owned breeds such as Huskies, Rottweilers, pit bulls, and Chihuahuas. I've also helped family and friends with walking and sitting their furry friends. I've always had a special bond with animals and would be honored if you'd place your furry family in my care.

My name is Kelly and I am a graduate student at Drexel and am missing having dogs in my life! I have plenty of time during the day and would love to spend it with your dog(s)! I have dog sat and walked for over 12 years, both in my own home and staying over at others'. I'm comfortable with any size dog (I’ve cared for 15 lb mutts up to 130 lb pit mixes) and am comfortable with reading a dog’s behavior and reacting accordingly.

Turlock, California is a bustling city in the state's Central Valley. Located close to the San Francisco Bay area and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Turlock is also home to a mass of cultural events, parks, and schools. Full of pet-lovers, Turlock also offers many opportunities to get out and explore with your four-legged friend.
If you're looking for a dog park, you have several choices, including the newly-built Swanson Centennial Dog Park. This large play area has fences, trees for shade, and a water fountain. Quite popular in the area, it's not uncommon to see the park filled with dogs and owners looking to enjoy the beautiful California sunshine.
Another option is the Turlock Dog Park, also called the Sunnyview Dog Park. Off-leash dogs are welcome in the fenced-in sections (one for small dogs, and one for large dogs). This park has a more peaceful, secluded location, and locals often report seeing no other dogs or people during daytime visits.
Several dog-approved hiking trails are close to the Turlock area. With both paved and un-paved sections, the Dry Creek Trail gives dogs the chance to explore flora and fauna in the heart of the valley. Featuring a small creek, this trail was once an old railway line, now converted to a walkable trail as part of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy program. Another rail-to-trail option in the area is the Modesto Virginia Corridor, which is less rural than the Dry Creek Trail, but offers access to retail establishments and residential neighborhoods.
Denair is a rural neighborhood of Turlock, CA with some pup-friendly places. Denair is home to Sunnyview Dog Park, a fenced-in place for Rover to roam free. Large and small dogs have separate areas for safety and your pup can even grab a drink from the water fountain. Closeby is the R.A.M. Farms Pumpkin Patch, where you can bring your leashed pal for a trip through the corn maze, or even to pick out his own pumpkin for some Howl-ween fun! If you’re looking for a bite to eat, head a little closer to the town center to Main Street Footers, which has an outdoor, dog-friendly patio.
About 20 minutes from the center of Turlock is Modesto, CA. The Airport neighborhood, which is also home to the Modesto City-County Airport, features the Dry Creek Trail, a trail that’s sure to wow both you and your pooch. Walk, jog, or simply enjoy the scenery! You can also take a trip to Kewin Park, a community park with trails, wooded areas, fishing spots, and picnic areas where your pup is welcome on her leash. Near this neighborhood is also Foxy Roxy’s Mobile Pet Salon, a mobile grooming salon where your best bud can get pampered, cleaned, and spruced up by the experts.
A 25-mile drive out of Turlock brings you to Merced, a town with several pet-friendly hotels and events through the year. Merced Dog Park is located in the Loughborough neighborhood of Merced, and is a popular, 8-acre dog park where your four-legged friend can unleash his energy – unleashed, of course! The park even has separate areas for large and small breeds. Just a couple minutes south is the Merced PetSmart, where your dog is welcome to join you for some shopping. Then, drive your pooch down to Sonic, where you can enjoy a burger or two with him in your car!
Lathrop is about a 45-minute drive from Turlock, but if you’re looking for dog-friendly activities, it’s a good place to be! Lathrop Dog Park is a highly-rated park with separate areas for large and small breeds, plenty of grassy areas for safe running, and convenient clean-up stations. Close by is the Manteca Tidewater Bikeway, which has plenty of trails to enjoy a walk with your dog on his leash. Or, visit one of the other nearby parks in Lathrop, like Doxey Park, where you can enjoy your relaxing outdoor surroundings while spending some pawsome quality time with your furry pal.
Save Madera for a time you want to take a road trip with your dog, since it’ll take about an hour to drive to from Turlock. But, once you get here, you can enjoy parks and restaurants with your pooch. Don’t miss the Fresno River Trail, which starts in the Parkwood neighborhood of Madera. The multi-use trail has all the pet-tential to become your new favorite walking location, running along the dry river in Madera. When you’re done for the day, make a pit stop at The Vineyard Restaurant, which offers outdoor seating for you and your leashed pup. Bone Appetit!
