Around the perimeter you’ll find a paved jogging track for you and your pal to exercise. If your four-legged friend is looking for some friends of their own, head to one of the two artificial turf patches and see who your pup will meet. Perhaps you may want to take a moment to pay respect to the fallen Anaheim Police Department K-9 officers at the bronze memorial statue. The park is open every day from dawn until dusk, so you’ll never miss out on a chance to spend some quality time with Fido.

If you are looking for a pleasant, weekend, dog-friendly park, then the El Cajon Trail could be the perfect place for you. A former irrigation canal that was filled in due to lack of use, four miles of tarmac and concrete trails give you and your precious pup vast amounts of open air to enjoy. If you or your pup are fans of horses, then the equestrian area is sure to be a hit; if you’re lucky, you may witness an elusive competitive horse show. Parking is available in the Hurless Barton Park. Head the short walk along Casa Loma Avenue to reach the trail and enjoy the fresh air.

Fullarton
Looking for an off-leash dog park to take your pooch? Head on over to the Fullarton Pooch Park for an hour or two of fun. Open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. you’ll have a chance to exercise with your pup before or after work. If Fido is a smaller, reserved dog who only likes some dogs, then the area for puppies under 25 pounds is the place to go. But, if Fido is full of energy and wants some friends to play with, the area for larger pups is the place to be. If your four-legged friend is happier on their own, then the woodchipped area is going to be perfect. And, if after all that fun, Fido needs some water, then the water fountain with bowls for the animals is sure to satisfy.
