Located in Summit County, CO, Dillon is a small town that sits on the edge of the Dillon Reservoir. About an hour-and-a-half out from Como is another popular mountain town, frequented for its many outdoor activities. However, there's plenty of other things to do, especially with your four-legged companions! Your first stop should be in East Vail, at the Bighorn Park Off-Leash Dog Area. In addition to providing a safe place for well-trained pups to spend their afternoons, the park has remarkable views of the Vail area. During warmer months, you can even try some water sports with your pooch! The Colorado River Runs welcome pets on private whitewater rafting trips, which boast plenty of fun sights to see.

On the other side of the mountains, near Denver, CO, is the city of Littleton. A few miles towards the outskirts of the city is the Chatfield State Park. Exactly 72 miles from Como, the Chatfield State Park is an hour-and-a-half-long drive, but the trip is well worth the outcome! This park in pawticular is a favorite with pet parents, thanks to the 69-acre off-leash dog run located within the park. Don’t forget to take a dip in one of the ponds, too.
