Looking for the furrific frolic spot that’s a favorite among pooch pals in the area? Then you’d be barking mad to skip the Phillip and Dorcas Memorial Park on Lance Cir! Not only is this lush green park a great strolling spot on its own, but there are numerous trails running through it that provide pawfect paths for wondrous walkies. A lot of these routes serve as biking trails too, so keep Lassie leashed while using them. Access to a pedestrian-only pathway can be found on 7th Street. This 57-acre park has over 7 miles of trails to follow so you can really stretch those legs!

Glenwood Springs
If you’re hoping for some breathtaking beauty while you roam with Sparky, then look no further than White River National Forest! This haven for hikers is a truly puptastic spot to spend the day with your barking bestie. There are many terrific trails to choose from and they vary from easy to very hard on difficulty ratings. If you’re looking for a leisurely lap through this lovely landscape, then take the 4-mile Trappers Lake Trail, but if you’re in the mood for a challenge, then take on the 21-mile Marvine Loop Trail. Dogs are welcome on all trails as long as they remain leashed.

Sanderson Hills Park on Sanderson Drive is a pawesome park for you and Fido to visit! This picturesque park boasts soccer fields, a state-of-the-art children’s playground, and a shaded pavilion for sitting down and chilling out after exploring. Sanderson Hills Park is revered for its cleanliness and is treasured by tyke-toting families. The best part of this park? It provides access to some splendid trails! An extended trail brings you over China Wall and totals just over 4 miles. Whether you traipse along the trails or amble through the grassy fields, you’ll find yourself "pawsing" to admire the surrounding views.

5th St
The remarkable White River runs through Circle Park on 5th Street, helping to solidify its position as one of the prettiest parks in the area whatever the weather. When you’ve finished exploring the darling downtown area of Meeker, head over to Circle Park for a peaceful promenade with your pup. You can sit and watch the river flow by, relax under the shaded pavilion, or sniff out the open grassy areas tucked amongst the trees. Keep your beloved barker leashed while in this park, and don’t forget to bring doggy waste bags on the trip. No one likes a litterbug!
Water St
There’s no bones about it, Town Park on Water St is a super spot to spend the afternoon with your handsome hound! Two-legged visitors can make the most of the playground, basketball courts, and horseshoe pit, and although this park is bursting with amenities, there’s still plenty of room to ramble. This is a prime picnic spot because of the glorious green grounds, and these flourishing fields are a great spread for doggy walking. There is also a paved path running alongside the White River that welcomes lovable leashed pups. Keep puppy poop packaging on hand and make use of the ample trash cans dotted around the park.
