If you and your dog want to spend the day out in the woods, head to Penwood State Park. Dogs are allowed on-leash on all of Penwood State Park’s picturesque trails. One of the most popular trails in the park is the 10.3-mile Penwood State Park Trail. This moderate trail takes you in a loop around the park. Along the way, it passes a waterfall and scenic outlooks where you’ll get stunning views of the nearby hills and valleys. If you’re hungry after your walk, you can have lunch or a snack at the picnic area located next to Penwood Pond. Pups are welcome to join you at the picnic area as long as they’re on-leash.
