Griswoldville is a quiet residential area that mostly has single-family homes. For its furry residents, Griswoldville offers a furrific off-leash area called Wethersfield Dog Park. This dog park is 14 miles from Bloomfield, and it has separate areas for large dogs and small or timid dogs. Both areas offer lots of space for dogs to run and play with their friends, and they have doggy bags and water fountains. One of the most popular trails in this park is the Burr Pond Trail. This 2.5-mile trail loops around Burr Pond, providing stunning views. If your pup gets hot while they’re walking, there are lots of spots along the trail where you can go for a swim together. After your walk, go for a picnic with your pup at the park’s picnic area.
