“Four legged friends are the best!”

*Woof!* I'm Joshua and I just said 'Hello!' in dog speak. I've been told I'm a good human and often get wet nose kisses in recognition of a job well done. Dogs are simply amazing and I absolutely love them. I appreciate dogs of all sizes and breeds, but big playful pups are my favorite. When caring for your dog, you can rest assured that your fur baby is in the good hands of a trustworthy human who is as loving to your four-legged friend as you are. Your pup is always priority #1!

“I look forward to meeting you and your pups! :)”

Hi there, dog owners! My name is Kylee (please excuse the different profile title, it has to use my legal name). I'm 26 and a college student whose two favorite things are animals and the outdoors. So when I'm walking your dog I'm not just working, I'm having a great time! I was raised with three dogs so I have lots of experience, but I haven't been able to have one of my own since starting school. Feel free to contact me with any questions, I look forward to meeting you and your pups!

Hi! I’m Molly. I am a former bartender (Covid changed all that) and current Wag walker (I’ve been with Wag for over 2 years). I am new to the Middletown area and am Mom to three rescue cats. I’m a huge animal lover and former dog owner of many years. I have also worked as a vet assistant and am very comfortable around dogs (and cats) of all ages, temperaments, and activity level. “Your dog will have a paws-itively good time w/ me!”

Hi! My name is Kaylee — AKA your dog’s new friend! I want to help busy pet parents, like myself, feel at ease at work, vacation, or a night out, and to know that their pup is being cared for. When your dog is with me, he/she will be treated like my own — meaning lots of pets, loving, and attention. I have experience with dogs that needs all type of care. I’ll pay extra attention to their needs. I have a dog and a cat, and they’re my world. Thanks for letting me bring that love to your pup!

I have grown up around all kinds of animals especially dogs both big and small. I currently love and care for a sweet little chihuahua/doxen mix and hope to adopt a larger dog as well. I am very interested in using canine behavior and body language to understand how they feel so I provide the best care possible.

“I will treat your dog as one of my family!”

I grew up with dogs on our horse farm & pet sat through college. I was a vet tech, dog groomer & kennel manager for 8 years at a vet before starting my own business so I can do various medical treatments, meds, etc. I have 2 large dogs- Griffey a humane society pup and Monty a golden retriever. If you are going away for a weekend or vacation, my daughter, son and I all do house/pet sitting in your home. Keep your dog in the comfort of it's own home/schedule & not the stresses of a kennel.

Spend some quality time with your best friend at Mill Woods Park! With plenty of open space and walking trails to explore, both you and your pup will have a fun time here. Mill Woods Park is also home to a beach, a fishing pond, a skate park, and several athletic fields, but if Fido could talk, he would say that the best part is the off-leash dog park. Surrounded by trees and covered with wood chips, the Wethersfield Dog Park is a pawsome spot to exercise and socialize your pooch. There is a separate area for small or timid dogs, as well as water stations, pet waste stations, benches, and picnic tables.

At first blush, the Wilkus Farm may appear to be just another piece of open land. But this 81-acre property, the last major piece of land in town, is an important symbol of Wethersfield's agricultural history. In fact, residents rallied to have it permanently protected some years ago. Fido is welcome to join you in exploring this historic site as long as he stays leashed, and don't forget to bring waste bags so you can clean up after him. A gem in the heart of Wethersfield, the Wilkus Farm is a great place for taking a relaxing stroll and watching the sunrise and sunset with your pooch.

Wintergreen Woods is a 110-acre New England forest surrounded by heavily developed suburbs. Featuring several nature trails, this area is frequented by folks who want to get some exercise and fresh air. Here, you can enjoy a relatively easy hike among large white pines, beech, and oaks with Fido. Though there are some slopes and soggy areas, bridges and boardwalks are present to keep Fido's paws dry. From Wintergreen Woods, you and your pooch can also access the Heritage Way Bike Trail, a 10-mile bike path that meanders through town, connecting various parks, open spaces, and schools. Many portions of the trail are suitable for walking Fido.

Spanning 37 acres, Bushnell Park is a must-visit if you and Fido find yourselves in nearby Hartford. An important space for recreation and gatherings in the city for more than 130 years, Bushnell Park currently serves as the venue for a variety of events and as the landscape setting for the State Capitol. As you and your pooch go for a leashed stroll around this historic park, you will encounter monuments such as the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch and the Corning Fountain. The park's nearly 500 trees are also a sight to behold. Pick up a free Tree Walk brochure at the adjacent Legislative Office Building to get to know them better!
