Municipal

Grab your dog and head out to the Meshomsic State Forest. From the outside, the forest may not seem like a lot, but it is filled with numerous hiking trails that you and your dog can explore together. The trails have a variety of surfaces, from paved to dirt, so make sure to choose the correct trail for your skill level. The longest trail in the forest is 33-miles long, and will take you to the Massachusetts border if you complete it. Located seven miles out of South Glastonbury in Middletown, your pup will love hiking with you in this woofderful green space.
