“I never met a dog I didn't like!”

Hi, I'm Megan! I've loved dogs all my life and I learned about how to responsibly care for them from my aunt, who has been adopting dogs for decades which allowed me to learn about a variety of dog behaviors and breeds. I always put safety first and make sure to respect the dogs and their owners, staying focused while on walks and asking permission about anything not explicitly addressed by the owner.

I have experience walking friends’ high energy dogs on hikes and they absolutely love it. Their owners are pleased when their dogs are joyous after getting energy out and I make sure to ALWAYS bring water and a bowl for the pups. I love dogs of all sizes and will determine the optimal level of difficulty for the pups so they will not be too fatigued. I am experienced walking dogs nearing 100 lbs and of great strength so I should have no issue with any sizes. Thank you in advance! All the best.

Dog Walking in Centerbrook

Centerbrook is a village in the town of Essex, Connecticut. It is one of three villages that are individually unique within Essex. Situated on the banks of the Connecticut River, Centerbrook is surrounded on three sides by water. The village was founded in the late 1700’s as a shipbuilding-dominated area. It came to be famous for this industry, and even today, boaters and sailors flock to the area as a famous destination for historical attractions and to enjoy the village’s fine culinary fares. This village is also pup-friendly and is the perfect place for Fido, where there is one veterinarian to take care of all their health needs, focusing on preventive medicine.

Parks are plentiful in the villages surrounding Centerbrook but there are plenty of sidewalks throughout the village to take your fur-ever friend for a stroll. They will lead you both past historic homes, down to the harbors’ water’s edge, and through the village’s tree-lined avenues.

When you both get hungry, Centerbrook’s dog-friendly Woodsman’s Restaurant offers fried clams and delicious fresh seafood meals. Small dogs are always welcome on their outside patio.

Centerbrook happily encourages you and your pup to discover why New England has so much to offer.
