Looking for the pawfect spot to have a picnic with a view with your pup? Look no further than McCook Point Park in the town of Niantic, with a beautiful green lawn shaded by copper beeches. Situated on top of a bluff overlooking Niantic Bay and Long Island Sound, the park also has a playground, walking paths, a tented picnic area, and a pretty wooden pavilion where performances are held. You and Fido just might catch a concert, especially if you're visiting during the summer. To the west of the bluff is McCook Point Beach, a small, white sand beach that's only a few steps away from the park.

A popular spot for hiking, camping, swimming, and fishing, the Rocky Neck State Park in Niantic features varied terrain, diverse trails, and one of the region's largest beaches. The 710-acre park also houses a historic stone pavilion, multiple picnic areas, and several wooded and open campsites.
