Salmon Brook
If you are looking to have a fun-filled day of running around and swimming, you need to visit Granby Dog Park. This is an off-leash dog park that is completely fenced in. It is well shaded with a lot of picnic tables and benches. In the summer, there is a spigot for the pups; otherwise, you will need to bring your own water. There is also a fire hydrant for your pooch to play around, and there are plenty of grassy areas to explore. If you want your pup to swim, there is a river that runs right behind the park with a nice bank to ease into the water. You should note that there is no fencing around the river, so make sure to watch your pooch.36

West Granby
If you are looking to get in some exercise, come to the Dufresne Park in West Granby, CT. Your dog has the option to be off his leash while he’s in the fenced-in dog run, or he can be on his leash while you walk along the dirt and grass-covered trail. There is plenty of shade, and there are several places to sit. There is also a watering hole for your pup to play around. Remember to bring water and doggy waste bags with you. The park is separated into 2 sections: one for smaller pups and the other for larger dogs. There is plenty of shade to help on hot days, along with a lot of benches and picnic tables to sit on. The park is mostly made of wood chips, and your pooch will love to explore and sniff all of the scents. The park has watering stations and waste disposal bags, along with waste stations. There is also a message board to keep up with what is going on. It’s an all-around fun, friendly park.

It is completely fenced in, with two separate areas for different-sized dogs. Your pooch will have a blast playing on the agility equipment while they are running around. The park is mainly made of wood chips, and there are some places for owners to sit. You will want to bring your own water and waste disposal bags with you. Farmington

This 14.9 mile long trail used to be a railroad trail and is now part of Rails-To-Trails.
