I couldn t be happier with the amazing care our dog Franky received! From the moment they met, it was clear she has a natural connection with dogs. Franky instantly loved her (and he s usually picky!). She s reliable, kind, and truly goes above and beyond. Whether it s a quick walk or a longer adventure, I know Franky is in great hands and having the time of his life. I can t recommend her enough. We re so lucky to have found her!

Volusia

Volusia

There are quite a few dog-friendly businesses in Volusia, making this a great neighborhood to spend a few hours with your pooch. Tropi Shack is a popular spot for dog owners to grab a bite to eat with their pets, as this dog-friendly restaurant has outdoor picnic tables at which your pooch can enjoy everything from Cuban sandwiches to thick shakes with you. If you need somewhere to stay nearby, there are a couple of options in this neighborhood, such as the scenic Clark Family Campground, complete with a pond lined with mature trees. If you would prefer a hotel, the Days Inn Orange City Deland is nearby, and welcomes two dogs per guest room for a small additional fee.

Blue Springs Landing/ Fatio

Blue Springs Landing/ Fatio

Your dog will love the DeBary neighborhood of Blue Springs Landing/ Fatio, as this is where you will find the Blue Spring State Park, which covers an area of more than 2600 acres. This park is actually a manatee refuge, and from November to March, several hundred West Indian Manatees call this park home. If you and Fido want to watch the manatees, the Blue Spring State Park Boardwalk is the area to head to. If you would prefer a hike through the wilderness, give the 7.3 mile Pine Island Trail a try, but remember that you will need to keep your dog on a lead at all times.

The Vista's

The Vista's

Just over two miles from Orange City is a neighborhood in DeBary called The Vista's, and this is the place to go if your pooch could do with an off-lead run. The Vista's is where you will find the 210 acre Gemini Springs Park, which is not only home to two springs, playgrounds, and picnic areas, but also to the fully fenced-off Gemini Springs Dog Park. At 4.5 acres in size, this is quite a large dog park, and features separate areas for smaller and larger dogs. There are dog washing stations, doggie water fountains and picnic benches dotted throughout the park, but you will still need to bring your own doggie bags with you.

Elkcam Blvd/ Howland Blvd

Elkcam Blvd/ Howland Blvd

It takes about seven minutes to drive from Orange City to the Deltona neighborhood of Elkcam Blvd/ Howland Blvd, but the drive is worth it since it will take you to the 360 acre Lyonia Preserve. This preserve is famous for being home to the threatened Florida scrub-jay, and also boasts a wide range of other wildlife species. There are just over two miles of walking trails that you and Fido can explore here, and these loop their way around the park, encompassing the preserve's highest point, meaning that you will be rewarded with some incredible views.
