Hey Wag! World:) My name is Sam, I'm 27 years old, and am a born and raised Orlando native! Animals are my absolute passion and my background confirms it ! My dad's a veterinarian so I've grown up in a "pet" family and spent years working in his clinic as a kennel assistant. Within the past year, I started working for another petsitting company, and I absolutely love it ! I'm ready to meet your furry one and bring an enjoyable, fun-filled experience to him or her ! Let's get wagging shall we ?

Your pup will love to go to the Paw Paw of Historic Sanford Dog Park since it was recently voted one of the top 10 best dog parks in the United States. This fenced in dog park offers two areas, one for large dogs and one for small, a shower to wash you dog off at, water bowls, clean-up bags, and benches for owners to sit on. The park is ADA accessible, and has a double gate to help make sure Fido doesn't escape. The park also offers plenty of shade to help keep you and Fido cool in all the Florida heat.
If you and Fido are foodies, then you need to head to the aptly named Purple Grape neighborhood and check out the amazing food choices offered here. The Original Christo's dishes out pawsome Italian food like pizza, pasta, and calzones. If you're looking for a great breakfast or lunch spot, then head into The Colonial Room which has a breakfast buffet and tasty fried chicken. Other great restaurants to try out are The Breezeway Restaurant and Bar, Fuel BBQ, or The Corner Cafe. All of these eateries welcome your pup to join you while you enjoy a delicious meal.
Derby Park is a great spot to take Fido for a pawsome walk or a great session of fetch. This park offers a covered pavilion, playground, restrooms, water fountains, benches to relax on, and BBQ grills. Grab a picnic basket and enjoy a nice picnic with Fido on their open green space, or grab one of the picnic tables they have available. If you're lucky, you and your furry friend may even catch a derby race when you're at the park the course set up for it. Fido must remain on leash while visiting, and don't forget your clean-up bags.
The Central 25th neighborhood is home to two great dog-friendly restaurants that you and Fido can visit if you get a little hungry. Jimotti's Restaurant serves authentic Japanese food, like sushi and sashimi. The Patio Grill is a laid back restaurant and lounge that dishes out foods like pizza, pasta, seafood, and steak, as well as some Greek favorites, and they even have a happy hour. The Patio Grill also makes sure to have a nice bowl of water out for your pooch to enjoy. Both of these restaurants welcome your dog to join you for a nice meal out together.
Less then five miles out of Sanford is Lake Mary, which is home to the Cross Seminole Trail. This pawsome trail has an asphalt surface for the entire 22.8-miles it offers. The trail is usually frequented by bikers, skaters, and other people walking their dogs. Although the trail is mainly throughout an urban setting, your dog will still enjoy the great walk he can get on it. If you both feel like extending your walk, then you can wander onto either the Seminole Wekiva Trail, which will take you 14 additional miles, or the Cady Way Trail, which is an extra 6-miles.
