The Kawainui Marsh Trail is an easy 2.6-mile hike through 800-acres of beautiful wetlands. The out-and-back trail travels through marsh and gives you a great view of the Ko'olau Mountains. The trail is half paved and half gravel, and is popular among walkers, bikers, and runners. Your dog is allowed to hike this awesome trail with you if he remains on leash the entire time. The trail is known to have tons of endangered birds and wildlife that call the marsh their home, so make sure you and Fido stay on the trail while you hike so as not to disturb their habitat. The Ka Iwi State Scenic Shoreline as a lovely 2-mile hike that you and Fido can journey together if he stays on leash.
