“Pup's Best Friend”

Hi! I'm Jen. I'm not a dog owner, but I have spent a great deal of time taking care of family and friends' dogs and cats. I love being around dogs and enjoy pampering them like going out for walks, playing in the park, giving them baths, brushing their hair and even their teeth. I'm also a pretty active person, as I exercise at least 3 times a week doing tai chi or walking. I hope to earn your trust and confidence in taking care of your fur-baby! Mahalo.

“Your pup(s) will have fun on their walks with me!”

Aloha! My name is Norma! I’ve owned large breed dogs all my life; Akitas, Doberman Pinschers, Pit/terrier mixes, Aussies. More recently, our pups were two small Jack Russell terriers. Our current ‘kids’ are a Ridgeback hound mix and a small poi pup. I’m hoping to meet and walk more pups that need exercise and mental stimulation!

I'm Julio, aloha!I've been surrounded by dogs all my life. As a baby in California, there was Barbara, a Terrier/Lab mix. Growing up in Maine, there was (in this order): Katie, Abigail, and Tabitha. My chores included feeding, walking, and cleaning up after them. All three were German Shepherds, a breed that my parents were and still are big fans of today. And, at my grandparents there was Bear and Kizzy, both a mix of Shitzu and Yorkshire Terrier. In my first apartment away from home, I lived with roommates who had a Boxer named Miranda. I enjoyed walking and spending time with her whenever I could until I moved.Consequently, all of these dogs were just a warmup for a Boxer named Emmy. A total sweetheart, I like to say she was my first love. She belonged to a friend who worked nearby. He was busy with his new job and I had nothing but free time so I ended up dog-sitting her as much as possible and absolutely loved every minute of it.Now I live in Hawaii and I would like to have these furry friends back in my life! I don't currently live in a place that allows dogs so I like to pay a visit to the Hawaii Humane Society when I can.I'm an avid runner, high energy, and like to stay very active. I believe exercise is good for dogs just as it is for humans! In the Chinese zodiac, I was born in a Year of the Dog (1982) and like dogs, I too like to think I'm fiercely loyal, trustworthy, and dependable.I look forward to taking good care of your furry best friend!Mahalo!

Aloha! I'm Jon and I'm honored to be a potential dog walker for your fur baby. As a former dog owner of 20 years (3 fur siblings, 4 fur babies) I know how much love and care a dog needs and how much exercise they need to be happy both emotionally and physically and how much work that takes. I hope to earn your confidence in providing the care your dog needs when you are not available. Mahalo!

Dog Walking in Ewa Beach

If you're looking for a sunny beach destination where you can rest up with your pooch, you'd be barking mad to miss the dog-friendly Ewa Beach in Hawaii. This quaint locale gets its name from the Hawaiian word ewa, which means "crooked." Its name is connected to a local myth that involves the Hawaiian gods Kāne and Kanaloa.

Ewa Beach doesn't have any pet-friendly accommodations, so you'll need to travel 23 miles away to find some in Honolulu. Luckily, though, there are veterinary practices here, as well as a few places where you and your hungry hound can chow down! Teddy's Bigger Burgers and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf both welcome leashed, well-behaved dogs at their outdoor tables. Don't forget to bring a water bowl with you to both establishments.

Looking for an adventure outside of town? Ewa Beach is also located only four miles from Pearl Harbor. While you're here, don't forget to visit the USS Arizona Memorial, which is the most visited attraction in Hawaii.

What beach trip is complete without a trip to the beach? Leash up Fido and paw on over to One'ula Beach! Dogs are allowed to play here, as long as they remain leashed and supervised. Don't furget to bring plenty of drinking water with you!

Picnic tables are also available for the pet parents to relax while they watch their pooches play. A big plus is that the park is shaded, which makes it perfect for the hot Hawaiian weather.

Hawaii Kai Dog Park can be found around 32 miles away from Ewa Beach, in Hawaii Kai. This place is suitable for dogs and owners that require a park with separate areas for large and small dogs. The place is securely fenced and includes separate water fountains for canines and humans. Poop baggies are provided most of the time, but it's a good idea to bring some of your own in case the park runs out. The ground is mostly covered in grass, but it can get muddy when it rains, so be sure to bring a towel if the weather is bad.
