Tripler Army Medical Center is located in Honolulu’s Moanalua neighborhood, and this neighborhood is also home to the off-leash Moanalua Dog Park. This park has one large, fenced-in area where dogs can run around and make new friends. The park is covered in grass, and there are plenty of trees that keep the area shady and cool. There are also picnic tables for owners to sit at while their dogs play, and there’s a doggy water fountain available. Your dog will have a furrific time playing in this beautiful off-leash area.

McCully Moiliili
McCully Moiliili is home to the fun Ala Wai Dog Park. This dog park is about nine miles from Tripler Army Medical Center, and it has separate sections for large and small dogs. Water is available for dogs in this park, and there’s also a plastic pool they can splash around in. Your pup will always have a pawesome time in this park. If you want to cool down after the dog park, head over to nearby Snow Factory. This eatery offers snow ice, a combination of shaved ice and ice cream. They have both classic and unique flavors available, and they have outdoor tables where you can enjoy your treat with your pup.

Waialae Kahala
Want to bring your dog with you to the beach? Check out Waialae Beach Park, where dogs are welcome on-leash. This beautiful park is 15 miles from Tripler Army Medical Center, and it has a pristine, white-sand beach that’s surrounded by palm trees. There’s also a grassy area with picnic tables where you can relax and enjoy the views of the ocean. If you’d like to go out to eat with your dog after the beach, check out The Counter. This casual restaurant has four dog-friendly outdoor tables, and they serve Angus burgers, homemade veggie burgers, bison burgers, and more. If your dog was a good boy at the park, order them their own plain patty!

Hawaii Kai is home to popular off-leash area Hawaii Kai Dog Park. Located about 15 miles from Tripler Army Medical Center, this dog park has separate small and large dog areas, doggy bags, and doggy drinking fountains. It also has picnic tables for owners to sit at while their dog plays. Bring a couple tennis balls or your dog’s favorite toy, and have a great time playing here. If you want to grab something to eat after the dog park, check out Roy’s Hawaii Kai. This restaurant serves delicious dishes made with freshly-caught local seafood. Dogs are welcome to join you at Roy's outdoor seating, which overlooks the Pacific Ocean.

Ukuwai Street
For another great off-leash area, head over to Mililani Dog Park, which is 15 miles from Tripler Army Medical Center. Here, your dog can play in one large, grassy, and fenced-in field. There are trees that keep the park cool, and there are also benches for owners to relax on while their dog plays. If your dog gets thirsty, water is available here. If you want to go on a longer walk with your dog after the dog park, head over to nearby Mililani Ravine Park. Dogs are allowed on-leash in this park, which has a quiet, paved trail that goes through lovely wooded areas.
