Mt. Greenwood
Mt. Greenwood Park is a huge park that your pup will love to visit. Located on the outskirts of Chicago, and only two miles out of Alsip, this park offers 24 acres of doggie fun that features two gardens, a swimming pool, ice rink, eleven baseball fields, tennis courts, and the White Sox Baseball Miracle Field. After a fun day at the park, stop into LaPapa's which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Nearby, Fat Tommy's dishes out hamburgers, french fries, and a variety of other delicious food. Both these restaurants have dog friendly patios and love when Fido joins you for a meal.36
Oak Center
If you and your pup want to grab a bite to eat together, head into Oak Lawn which is only five minutes out of Alsip, and check out the great choices for chowing down. Meatheads Burgers and Fries serves burgers that are made with 100 percent Angus beef, plus fries made from Idaho russet potatoes. The off leash park is only eleven miles out of Alsip and the perfect place to take Fido to help run out some energy and meet new friends. The park offers two separated areas, for large and small dogs, and tables for owners to sit at. There is also a small lake for Fido to jump into and while he is out having a great time. This dog park offers 2-acres of doggie fun with a fenced in area to help keep your furry friend safe. The park is divided into two sections so your pup can play with dogs his own size. The park also features benches and a pavilion for shade. If Fido wants to walk with you, there is a walking path that surrounds the dog park which is frequented by walkers and horseback riders.
