There is also a separate 2.5-acre area that is designated for smaller pups under 30 pounds. The park also offers an exercise area enriched with lots of agility equipment. For the dog owners, there are benches and shelters in the park where you can sit back and watch over your pooch.

If you and Fido need a little time in nature to relax and recharge your batteries, head to Greene Valley Forest Preserve. It's located approximately 20 miles away from Bloomingdale, but the drive is well worth it. Within the park, you'll find a dog park which is separated into two areas for small and large breeds. The only downside is that you need a permit to enter. Be aware that there is no water in the park, so you'll have to bring some. Bring poop bags as well to keep the park as clean as you found it! Leashed dogs are allowed to explore the rest of the preserve, including some of the hiking trails.

Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge Dog Park is the pawfect place to take Fido for walkies or some off-leash playtime. The park is located in South Hinsdale, and it is safely enclosed so pups can run around and play off-leash. Waste bags are provided, so be sure to use them! Dogs pawsitively love dipping their paws in the little stream at this grassy park. Be aware that the creek can get too deep when it rains, so you should keep a close eye on your pup if you let him play in the water. Don't fur-get to bring a towel!

Beck Lake Dog Park is yet another place where you and Fido can make some pawesome memories together. It's located in Beck Lake, around 23 miles away from Bloomingdale. The park is pretty large, offering 44 acres of enclosed area and plenty of activities. There are open fields and trails that you and your precious pooch are welcome to explore. There's also a pond for swimming and a training area. Water fountains are provided, but waste bags are not so be sure to bring some with you. Before visiting, make sure that you apply for a membership, because you won't be able to play here without one.

To use this beach, you first have to register at the Heller Nature Center and provide proof of vaccination for your dog.
