Spring Avenue Northeast

The Spring Avenue Northeast neighborhood is a residential area that's next to a forest preserve and the East Branch Dupage River. In this community, you can go walking with your special pal past condos and single-family homes. When you want to let your pup play with other canines, take him to the Spring Avenue Recreation Center Dog Park. This fully enclosed area has a swipe card entry, tables and benches, and waste stations. You can obtain a permit and entry card for a small yearly fee at the Recreation Center building in the park. Dogs need to be licensed and current on vaccinations.

Glen Ellyn

Downtown Glen Ellyn includes a few parks, residential areas, and a commercial district. You and Fido can enjoy a stroll down the sidewalk in your neighborhood. When you want to find some green space, head to Danby Park on Duane Street. This 1.6-acre facility has an open area and walking trail that you can enjoy with your pooch. From here, you and Fido can also connect to the main branch of the Illinois Prairie Path, which is part of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy. This 16-mile multi-use trail allows dogs on a leash. Make sure you bring water and waste bags with you.

Ellyn

The residential area around Ellyn includes a middle school and two furiffic parks with walking trails. When you want a change of pace from walking your canine companion past homes in your neighborhood, head to Panfish Park on Wilson Avenue. This facility includes a playground and a paved walking trail that loops around the lake. Take Fido for a relaxing stroll along the water. There's also an area where you can have a picnic in the park together. Dogs are welcome to accompany you here as long as you keep them on a leash and you clean up their waste.

Glen Oak

The residential area of Glen Oak borders a country club golf course and the East Branch Du Page River. The sidewalks in this quaint little community are the pawfect place for walkies! You can also take Fido to Glen Oak Park on Woodstock Avenue. This 1.6-acre area includes an open field where you and your pooch can play fetch together. Bring along some water and a snack so you can grab a picnic at one of the tables in the park. Dogs are permitted to join you here as long as you keep them on a leash. Make sure you pick up your pup's waste.

Lake Ellyn

The area around Lake Ellyn is a wooded neighborhood with residential streets, a high school, and a park. There are tree-lined streets here where you and your pup can enjoy a quiet stroll. If you want to enjoy some green space, head to Lake Ellyn Park. This 25-acre area includes open areas, a picnic section with grills, and a mile-long walking trail that loops around the lake. Go walking or jogging with your special pal, then share a picnic in the park together. Dogs on a leash are welcome to join you. Remember to clean up any messes while visiting this public facility.
