South Streator
South Streator is primarily a residential neighborhood with single-family homes. There are some quiet streets here where you and Fido can stretch your legs together. For a little green space, head south to Katchewan Lakes Campground. This facility is located on the northern banks of the Vermillion River. There are RV hookups and a beach here. Walk around the ponds and by the river with your four-footed pal. Dogs are allowed to join you here. Make sure you keep them under control and on a leash when they're outside. You are responsible for cleaning up any messes left by your pup.36

North Streator
North Streator is a mixed neighborhood with some commercial establishments, a golf course, apartments, and single-family dwellings. There are a few places here where you and Spot can go for a walk around the block together. When you want to get out in nature, head to Marilla Park on Marilla Park Road. This 65-acre facility has bike trails, a disc golf course, and wooded areas. Go exploring along Otter Creek or through the trees with your special pal. Dogs are permitted in designated areas of this park as long as they're on a leash and you clean up their droppings.24

Kangley
The small community of Kangley is on the western side of Streator. This neighborhood includes single-family homes and a town hall. You and fido can take a quiet walk down country roads here. If you're looking for a pawtastic place to go exploring with your pooch, head to Spring Lake Nature Park off Spring Lake Road. This 37.2 acre facility has two creeks, a waterfall, and nature trails. Enjoy a variety of wildlife and terrains in thi natural area. Dogs are welcome to join you on a leash as long as you keep them under your control and clean up their waste.12

Downtown Streator (Downtown)
Downtown Streator includes local businesses, the area high school, a hotel, and some streets with single-family homes. Take a stroll down the sidewalk with your fur baby for some daily exercise. There's a nice little park in the heart of town where you and your special pal can enjoy a little green space. Head to City Park on E. Hickory Street. Walk around this urban forest preserve to get some exercise and fresh air. Dogs may join you in designated areas of the park, provided that they're on a leash and under your control. Bring waste bags with you when you visit.
