Does your dog think that proper Italian marinara should be cooked all day long? If your pup is a gourmand when it comes to authentic Italian food, then the South Mundelein neighborhood in Mundelein, IL has your pup's name on it! Here, you can visit Lauretta’s Italian Bake Shop & Cafe for a plate of Meat Ravioli Bolognese or Chicken Parmigiana. If you're looking for something a little less upscale, you can head to Bill's Pizza & Pub. Bill's has been selling slices since 1957. Grab a slice of your favorite topping with your own "pupperoni'" at Bill's. After eating, you can always walk around Diamond Lake for some relaxing views with your dog!
Does your dog like hanging out with you at the local drinking hole because he knows he'll get some belly scratches? Take a short 9-minute trip to Central Mundelein, which is home to the Tighthead Brewing Company. The brewery is totally dog-friendly and has some great year-round beers you can enjoy with your dog by your side. Try the Irie IPA, Chilly Water APA, or the Boxcar Porter. Usually, on the weekends, local food trucks like Pirogi Jo's and Food For Your Soul will park at Tighthead to serve food. It's always a tail-waggin' party at Tighthead Brewing Company!
