Conveniently located directly off the I-74 Interstate, this accessible locale provides places to shop, eat and entertain yourself! Batesville Dog Park is a gated, off-leash play and exercise area that has separate areas for large and small dogs. For some dog-friendly food and drink, Lil’ Charlies Restaurant and Brewery loves dogs and lets them hang out at their outside tables when the weather is good! If you are visiting or passing through and need to find dog-friendly accommodation, local Airbnb rentals have several providers that provide puppy-friendly lodging options where you both can get a good night’s sleep.

Rabbit Hash

15 miles from Wrights Corner, the town of Rabbit Hash is literally as close as you can get to the Kentucky/Indiana border, separated by the Ohio River. Abrupt Designs at Rabbit Hash is a souvenir shop that allows dogs to walk the store and browse with their owners. Verona Vineyards at Rabbit Hash is another dog-friendly establishment, but this one makes and serves wine! This vineyard invites people to bring their pups along to free wine tastings every weekend. If you’re feeling grumbly in the tummy, The Scalded Hog is a popular barbecue joint that prepares amazing smoked meat, brats, and burgers; they are dog-friendly and invite dogs on their outdoor patio area!

Francisville

Nooked along the bend of the Ohio River, Francisville is a spread out, family-friendly community in Kentucky, roughly 20 miles east from Wrights Corner. Giles Conrad Dog Park is a massive off-leash dog space that is fenced in and comes with nature trails that you can hike and even bike on with your pooch! Strong’s Brick Oven Pizza, Agaves Mexican Restaurant, and Longnecks Sports Grill all love dogs and welcome them with open arms to come and dine outside on their outdoor patios. Giles Conrad Park also hosts the annual Pitie Party event; all proceeds raised go towards pit bull rescue efforts.

Bridgetown North

This Ohio town is accessible from I-74 and I-275 and rests approximately 25 miles east of Wrights Corner. Mount Airy Forest Dog Park is a spacious dog park that includes a small and large dog play area, water, and waste stations; for a change of pace, there are miles of on-leash, dog-friendly trails that run through Mt. Airy forest! Harvest Home Park hosts the annual Dog Walk & Mutt Mingle that features fun games and prizes; all proceeds and donations raised will go to the Fourgotten Paws Animal Rescue. Hungry? Cincinnati

This popular city of Ohio rests along the Ohio/Kentucky border, overlooking the Ohio River and about 30 minutes east of Wrights Corner. Otto Armleder Dog Park has three spacious fenced areas: two for large dogs and one for small dogs. The park also features water, poop bags and trash cans. Kellogg Park is another local dog park that is 4 acres of off-leash fun! This fenced dog park has a drinking fountain, shade trees, and waste stations. Fido Field is yet another local dog park offers separate large and small dog areas, water, shade trees, benches, poop bags and trash cans.
